There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin-Qt, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Does anyone know the person/user that bought the pizzas for laszlo? Was it xunie or bitcoinfx? The motherboard vice article just says a volunteer in England.

I suspect the guy is in a great depression. Either that or he has a couple 100k bitcoin and bought an island somewhere

Don't worry he has quite a few more aside for his retirement.

If he had waited just a few more months, he could have enjoyed a hundred million dollar life Tongue Well actually 10 mil, but 100 mill sounds "cooler"
