The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

How do I swap from a Mac? Can I simply send my coins to that address? How will the swapped coins come back to me?

The cryptopia exchange stopped the FOOT deal today because it's starting to convert new COINS now?Do I hold FOOT that are automatically converted or need to be sent to another thread for conversion?

We don't have a Mac wallet yet. You may be able to run the Win wallet in emulation mode.  You'll need an address from the new wallet to receive the coins and we need a comment in the transaction to verify where to send the new coins.  If you aren't able to get a wallet running on your Mac we'll work something out. Footy may have an idea.

Your FOOT on Cryptopia won;t be automatically converted. You have about 14 days to get your coins off of that exchange.  We may possibly have an auto coin swap on coinexchange.io. Footy will have more info soon.  You can convert now if you prefer by following the instructions a few posts above.

Can't run an emulator, due to restrictions on my laptop (company-laptop). Please help me out. I got 3000 footy-coins on cryptopia.

Dev,

On the new FootyCash Client (v.2.0.0.3) I can only make one connection.

I would like to activate the UPNP for network connections, but the option seems unavailable - it's greyed out and wont let you check the box.

Is there a manual way to activate network UPNP, maybe from the command line?

I was informed other people are having the same issue.

The New FootCashV2 is here and we can begin a manual coin swap.

I still have hope that we'll be able use coinexchange for a coin swap. In the meantime, Footycash has asked me get started on a manual coin swap.

Manual Swap steps:

Step 1, download the new wallet from here:

https://github.com/FootyCash/FootyCashV2/releases/tag/V2.0.0.3

Step 2, addnode is needed as I have not created a DNS seed yet:

addnode=132.148.90.48:17017

Step 3, send coins from the old wallet to DESK6cNAJSKhf8tQvf31hNetnJCSfS3axe adding a comment with your V2 address

the syntax looks like this to send 0.9998 of old coins where your new V2 address is FKMrY91BKyS2u9BXLkhXDeYHhKTvK7Tm4A:

sendtoaddress DESK6cNAJSKhf8tQvf31hNetnJCSfS3axe 0.9998 FKMrY91BKyS2u9BXLkhXDeYHhKTvK7Tm4A

Type the above in the console, replacing the amount of coins and the new address

Step 4, wait for me or Footy to send the new coins to your new address.

We will see the transaction and get the new address from the comment

-----------------------------------

The network is still a little slow. I'm sending coins to new addresses when I get the chance to speed it up.  It will speed up as we have more wallets staking, so please keep your wallets open to stake your coins if you can.  Coins stake automagically when the wallet is open.

How do  i add new node??

In the step 2, addnode is needed as I have not created a DNS seed yet:

addnode=132.148.90.48:17017

How do  i add new node??

In the step 2, addnode is needed as I have not created a DNS seed yet:

addnode=132.148.90.48:17017

Click 'Help' from the menu and then 'debug window' and click on the console tab

enter
addnode 132.148.90.48:17017 add

then enter
addnode 132.148.90.48:17017 onetry

First line should add the node to you peers list and then the second command make it connect to the node.

So I sent 5000 FOOT into a master node so now waiting on my first master node reward.

Allright.. To get things straight.

I've downloaded the v2 wallet on my GF's laptop
I've added the node

And now... Do I first need to transfer my 3000 coins from cryptopia to the receive-address XXXXXX in my wallet?

And then transfer them to DESK6cNAJSKhf8tQvf31hNetnJCSfS3axe using this line in the debug window:

sendtoaddress DESK6cNAJSKhf8tQvf31hNetnJCSfS3axe 3000 XXXXXX

Is that correct?

Download and setup V1 wallet to get old coins.

Download and setup new V2 wallet to receive new coins.

You will need to get your old coins into the V1 wallet and that is where you send the old coins to the swap address. (You do not send from your new wallet/address)

Couldn't the devs just to an automated swap with coinexchange.io?

I'm on a Mac and installing windows and then two different wallets just for this is not trivial  Shocked

Your wallet is at the most current block. There are no issues since there have been no blocks for the last hour and when there are no block in over in hour the wallet shows 'out of sync'.

I tried to send the old coins using the console, and I got an error saying that the wallet is only unlocked for staking.  How do we also unlock it for sending?
