Very confident from McLaren with the front row of the grid, it could be really tight for Verstappen now, as seventh place on the grid is not really famous either, it will be a tough race, if Norris finally gets away well at the start this time, it will be difficult for the others, my favourite is definitely Norris.

By the way it is official! Kimi Antonelli is driving for Mercedes next year. I'm really keen on watching what he will do. His crashing Russell's car in FP1 comes to my mind.    But aside from that, he is really talented and Toto Wolff is excited about him.

Mmmmm...  I just hope the journos don't try too hard in make comparisons between him and Verstappen and try to make parallels between the two when there is none.  It'll just put more pressure to Antonelli imho.  And Verstappen is a special case.  I mean we'd be lucky to see another special talent enter the sport when we've just had Verstappen as these special talents come up at least prolly a decade later.

We could have something like a Messi vs Ronaldo scenario in F1 but not really holding my breath for it.  Prepare to be disappointed Merc fans.

It was a shame for Pecco Bagnaia who had a bad start and was also involved in an incident with Alex Marquez when Pecco had found a good pace in every lap. And yes, congratulations to Marc Marquez who has been able to win the race in Aragon 2024 again after 1043 days since he won the Emilia Romagna Gp race in 2021. Marc Marquez is really strong in Aragon and that was very evident from FP1 to the full race today with conditions that could not be overtaken by anyone after the race started.

The Monza Grand Prix is over. The winner is Charles Leclerc! I'm so happy about his victory at Ferrari's home. 

I wasn't expecting a win from Ferrari today truthfully. Because those qualifying results were showing the opposite. Rather than that, I just hoped to see one of their drivers on podium. They almost had 2 drivers there with one pit stop strategy but Sainz couldn't hold on much with those worn out tyres.

Norris made individual mistakes and finished worse than he could have. By the way I don't know what McLaren is up to... One time they say they are going to focus on Norris' title chance also. The other day they don't make a swap between Norris and Piastri AGAIN.

Another missed opportunity for Mclearen, another win lost, with a better strategy and a no fight on lap 1 between them it was an easy win.

Max now must be worried about the situation, without Adrian Newey RBR is not the same anymore.

What a race. One of the interesting races this year where the result was quite unexpected because McLaren had led the race from the start, but somehow Ferrari's strategy at the end of the race worked - maybe this was because of Charles' sacrifice in several races to win the race in Monaco and Monza - but I suspect that in the next few races Charles will experience bad luck lol.
For RB, their performance in this race was quite bad, because Max and Perez only got 12 points, it seems they are in a bad position and with the good upgrades from other teams it makes their condition worse. Moreover, the constructor points between RB and McLaren are only 8 points apart, and it seems that in the next few races RB's position will be cut by McLaren.

I also see the incident as a silly thing for Pecco Bagnaia, even though if Bagnaia could have been patient for one more lap and not immediately overtake Alex Marquez in the area where Alex Marquez went wide, Bagnaia would still have taken third place in the race. But unfortunately it didn't happen because Bagnaia was too hasty to overtake Alex Marquez even though it was done because Alex Marquez went wide and tried to get back to his usual line.

But a perfect weekend for M. Marquez, congratulations to him, nobody could have beaten M. Marquez this weekend.

The long wait to win again finally came true for Marquez because he had been waiting for it for 1043 days since his last victory at the Italian Emilia Romagna GP and this week MotoGP will also return to the San Marino Misano circuit before the Emilia Romagna GP at the same circuit.

It was a superb victory by Leclerc in the home GP for Ferrari.    I must appreciate Ferrari's strategy for the first time in a long while. Because that one pit stop strategy changed everything in the race. If they did it twice like McLaren did then most probably Piastri would be the winner. Sainz says that he sacrificed himself by keeping Piastri behind for a couple of laps and suggesting Ferrari this pit strategy as well.

After this result McLaren is right behind Red Bull in constructor standings. The gap is only 8 points. McLaren is most probably the champion this season. Even Ferrari can leave Red Bull behind as the gap is only 39 points.

Very long time without enter to the forum because i was in a long travel journey for my hollydays.

A few things to note, what is Mclaren head doing? i mean they can easily overtook Max Verstappen and Red Bull if they stop making silly decisions in the races and fully support Lando Norris in his fight against Max Verstappen, why they make him take less points when he can take a lot more only by swapping positions or with better management.

Orange is the new red now, meaning there is no more Ferrari doing stupid things with the strategy but it totally is doing such things McLaren. They if they continue to play like that in a team where no one cares about anyone I am pretty sure that those 8 points in the Constructors Championship can be sure to overcome Redbull but what about Ferrari, they provided a massive upgrade package which worked well in Monza, the Ferrari car was near par levels with the McLaren and now we are moving into Baku a tough track to be racing yet a very beautiful one, in this track strategy plays a huge role in determining the outcome of the race and also the driver is very important as it is a really long race this one compared to Monza, McLaren can clearly lose a lot in Baku if they don't put their shit together.

McLaren is one step closer to the championship now. I don't give any chance to Red Bull as of now. There are still 8 races and the point difference is nothing that can't be closed. It has really been an amazing season since things started to change. 

I can say the 2021 season is the best one in the recent years. But I would definitely put this season right behind that one.    Seeing no single driver and team dominating the season is just wonderful.

By the way I respect Piastri but the way he acts is starting to annoy me.    He shouldn't have competed that hard against Norris in this race. They should act as a team to help Norris push for catching up with Verstappen.

Yup totally unexpected.  I kinda stopped focusing on the race when I thought Piastri was gonna win it.  But then I got back into it at the last three laps and was totally surprised that Leclerc was leading.  Lol.  I guess I'll watch the highlights at F1's YT.  It also looks like Leclerc is starting to come on his own.  I saw some clips of him telling his team to stfu when they kept bugging him about some brake setting. 

And yeah, both of Leclerc's wins are special to him...  Monaco and Italy.  The former is where he lives, the other one is his team's home race.  Good one for Leclerc.  Love to see him win.

I guess Ferrari is still the race for the Constructors world Championship and this is per se a big surprise.

Looking on how the cars are going it shoulr be and easy win for McLaren.

Kimi Antonelli is not someone that I considered Mercedes would get, they are basically getting themselves a second driver which is not really that much of a big deal, I think it needs to be something that will take a while for them to get Kimi to a good level. They know that George Russell is a great driver and they know that their future is with him, so they are looking for a second driver who can get the maximum points while staying a good teammate.

Think of Perez or Bottas type of driver, he is young so he may not do that greatly at first season or so, and Hamilton being at Ferrari will make things harder for them without a doubt, if he retired that was better, but at Ferrari, he will be different. Lets see how next season is, but first we need to finish this one.

I believe Antonelli to be a phenomenal driver only because Hamilton insisted and told Totto when he quit Mercedes that Antonelli is the best choice to be as his substitute. I saw him in the free practice where he crashed but before crashing he did an awesome lap attacking every turn and that says a lot for a driver in my opinion. Maybe he will not beat Russell directly in the first races because of the lack of experience but if Hamilton said only good words about him then most likely during the second phase of next season he should be able to beat Russell and to become nr 1 driver for Mercedes as Hamilton predicts, in the end only time can tell.

I think to get Norris in serious contention for the driver's championship, McLaren has to have team orders for their drivers.  No more fooling around.  Piastri knows he's the number two guy and he's taking some points away from the team's number one driver..  He took some risks and messed it up in Italy...  And the sad thing about it is he didn't even win the race for his team.  Lol. 

But it's not totally Piastri's fault or anyone's fault.  It's partly on Norris too as he's looking like he lacks grit.  He'll prolly learn grit if Piastri keeps taking his spot.
