We are living in the present situation so we need to patronize what the government gives us, in the future we will be using bitcoins and the world will be a better place to live. Just trust bitcoin as it will take us to the good future.

Sure I still believe in Fiat! Fiat will be used for a very very long time. Cant imagine if bitcoin replaced it. What will people do if they bought cigarette at a little shop with bitcoin and they had to wait for one confirmation to be able to get a pack of cigarette. And what if the confirmation came after 12 hours or so? That transaction problem wont happen if we use fiat.

Your statement doesn't prove anything. Just because a person uses fiat that doesn't mean he automatically believes in it. Maybe because there's no option to use to buy goods that's why we need to use fiat.

Fiat and bitcoin should work hand in hand, when we are earning bitcoins and there is only few of stores only we can always convert it with fiat and use it every time we want to buy. That is so comfortable so it is good to have the two as tandem.

At this time FIAT are more dominant than bitcoin because bitcoin is not yet widely recognize all over the world. We have to rely on fiat in order to cash out our money and use it in real life. Bitcoin for now is more on the like investment.

agree. I myself never think to believe in fiat or other currencies. just use what are available to use as long as they're legal, or no one forbids us to use it, or the advantages are not too much.
fiat itself is not forbiden, is legal and currency. so just use it, don't need to believe in, that's all.

We believe in fiat and we believe in bitcoins but fiat is more secure because it is widely use by the people of a certain country as enforced by the government, if we don't believe in fiat we cannot survive as we don't have something to spend. However, the future is good for bitcoin that would make the fiat also affected in an negative way.

yeah I do not understand what is meant in this thread, despite whatever answer believe or not to fiat you must use a fiat to make transactions and pay the cost of your life by fiat, you will not be able to rely on other currencies to pay for your life, You will definitely need fiat,,

I don't believe in fiat money, I just use it when I have to, because others want it. I've lost the feeling of holding something valuable with dollar bill years ago, when I researched fiat money creation... If you still believe in fiat money I can only recommend collecting paper money from the past. This has a strong therapeutic effect, because you will quickly notice that fiat paper money has a very short lifespan and you can buy today with a few bucks what would have been a fortune in the past.

I think until Bitcoin really catches we have to go through more years with fiat being dominant. But every time you get the opportunity, you should exchange trash money for sound money. If you have excess fiat, it's a good idea to exchange it for precious metals and Bitcoin, because these exist outside the state-controlled inflationary fiat scam.

You can only limit its crippling printing press by switching over to bitcoin, but you still need it to pay bills since the world operates off fiat.

I dont think we will ever come to that point though since most of us will be either to old or buried by then to see it die.

The entire world economy is based on fiat money. The US dollar isn't backed by anything anymore. It used to be backed by gold. So, the Federal Reserve is just creating it out of nothing. But it still is the form of money that the whole world uses.

Most business and companies don't accept bitcoin for transactions. Until bitcoin becomes very prominent, everyone has to use fiat money.

Thats what everyone that got into bitcoin is hoping for however some parts of the world, the majority specifically will keep on denying bitcoin as they wouldnt want the economy to be based on decentralized currency, this makes the government powerless and therefore wont have any significant effect in making nationwide decision

This truly sums up things while government doesn't want media to give any credentials about bitcoin. They don't want anyone to know nor heard about this currency. Once more people adopted into this coin there's a high chance that our economic system will crashed and it will result to a single currency, a freedom currency for people which is bitcoin.

And that is what we bitcoin users are afraid of, that the government will actually try to deny bitcoins or may be even cease the use of bitcoins because they wouldn't have any power to control and manipulate it.

Some areas however have bitcoins already accepted bitcoins as it is and decided not to meddle with it and let it be.

Yes and I think that fiat will never die, there will be many users who will prefer to use fiat even if everything goes digital and they will be comfortable in using it.
