Of course fiat is necessary, not just in India but everywhere in the world, because bitcoin is not yet a currency that can be used for doing anything in any corner of the world, so we don't have any other choice right now but to believe in fiat as we have to live as well and fiat helps us do that.

Definitely!  Just imagine a scenario where you don't have any fiat money, and just bitcoin and you are in the middle of an area without a bank.  Can you buy your food with your bitcoin if the people around you have no knowledge  about bitcoin?  It is kinda sad but it is the fact.  No matter how good or how expensive bitcoin compare to the local currency, you cannot buy anything if the merchant does not know what bitcoin is.

What you said is equally applicable to any other foreign currency (perhaps, to a lesser degree in respect to such currencies as the US dollar or Euro, but still). I don't think that you would fare much better with the Russian ruble than with Bitcoin in some backward corner somewhere amidst, say, Oklahoma or Wyoming. In fact, with bitcoins you might fare a lot better there (provided you manage to get access to Internet, of course)

I wouldn't say that I hate Fiat but it is really nothing. It is just an agreement between people that it holds value. The way nation states Governments are leveraged is disgusting. The US is in the hole for over 19 Trillion dollars. That doesn't include state & local gov't debt which adds 3 TRILLION. So 22 Trillion but by the end of 2017 it is said that the debt will be a staggering 23 Trillon dollars.

Yeah, Bitcoin looks pretty fucking good to me right now.

The first part is very true. Right now there are a lot of fiat haters, but really if you go to your local grocer and buy something with an alternative currency, they would call you a fraud. A scammer. A person who isn't able to give "legitimate" or "real" currency.

However there is a better alternative, bitcoin. Thus why there are a lot of bitcoin enthusiasts on here.

Why would I hate fiat? Money is money. As long as it still has value, as long as I can use it to pay for things I need, then I'd believe in it. Just because I also use bitcoin doesn't mean I have no use for fiat anymore.

On the other hand, though, people who say that they hate fiat usually refer to governments issuing that fiat. Really, fiat is only a tool, so does it make any sense to hate a hammer even if you just smashed your finger with it? People hate governments because they steal wealth from them with the help of fiat money by constantly depreciating it. When you see prices constantly rising in a grocery shop behind the corner, you can't help hating all these criminals in the government, and I'm dead serious

Haha very funny when people says about fiat's inflation and everything that is not good for them. We have no choice but to force ourselves to believe in fiat because even there is bitcoin, in most of the country we live the only medium that we need to use for purchasing everything we need is with fiat money only.

I do agree on you dude. No matter how expennsive the value of bitcoin in the market if you give your 1 bitcoin to merchant that has not know what is bitcoin it is very useless to that person it is really useless thing so fiat in the end is better because that is the means of payment all over the world and they recognizes it .

inflation happen to everything in this world. to everything which are having value like property,gold, or bitcoin. if you prefer something that don't have inflation then you might not use anything in this world. maybe you can just live up having some sort of barter to keep your live and feeds you but you will make your life far more complicated

I also use the national currency. I can not do without it in everyday life. In my country Bitcoin infrastructure is poorly developed. This is why Fiat has always in my purse
