The only thing I have been able to do to get more then 2 or 3 connections or Win7 is just shut the wallet down, delete the Espers.conf in the app data folder.
Then run the wallet and add the nodes through the wallet console. Let it run for a couple hours and more connections will slowly follow. Shocked

The nodes are handling the massive amount of connections as best as possible. Clearly is still not enough. We are launching more dedicated nodes. Stand by. pool pointing coming to the wallet soon as well. Just give us time.

I have 2 windows machines mining just fine on the same network. Wins 10 64 bit...

Just stopping by, for Connections Issue just remove the PORTS

addnode=159.203.12.73
addnode=70.214.43.97
addnode=104.236.150.155
addnode=159.203.24.196
addnode=107.170.212.222
addnode=173.18.196.253
addnode=188.166.155.131

No need for the PORTs if doing addnode. This is what i did and i got connections without any issues.

Edit: Devs team will need to hardcode some nodes in wallet to help new users start their wallets easily.

Hi again ESPers  Smiley

Does the team have ANY plans for getting listed on exchanges?

Any (general) date set for when we could start trading this?  Just curious - no pressure or anything hehe

don't worry our next wallet update will have more hard-coded nodes, however we will only hardcode the ones that personally launch for safety reasons. we do not want to be responsible for other nodes turning out to be attack nodes. however we are looking into an easier method of adding third-party nodes.

We are working on getting Espers onto exchanges but our top priority is making sure there are enough nodes, and we make a few more updates. but don't worry we will have it listed. i hope that isn't to vague of a answer for you Smiley

Just stopping by, for Connections Issue just remove the PORTS

addnode=159.203.12.73
addnode=70.214.43.97
addnode=104.236.150.155
addnode=159.203.24.196
addnode=107.170.212.222
addnode=173.18.196.253
addnode=188.166.155.131

No need for the PORTs if doing addnode. This is what i did and i got connections without any issues.

Edit: Devs team will need to hardcode some nodes in wallet to help new users start their wallets easily.

don't worry our next wallet update will have more hard-coded nodes, however we will only hardcode the ones that personally launch for safety reasons. we do not want to be responsible for other nodes turning out to be attack nodes. however we are looking into an easier method of adding third-party nodes.

Hi again ESPers  Smiley

Does the team have ANY plans for getting listed on exchanges?

Any (general) date set for when we could start trading this?  Just curious - no pressure or anything hehe

We are working on getting Espers onto exchanges but our top priority is making sure there are enough nodes, and we make a few more updates. but don't worry we will have it listed. i hope that isn't to vague of a answer for you Smiley

Good enough for me!

Regarding the nodes - is it possible for the average user to set up something dedicated to help out this project?  For example, could I run a dedicated ESP node if I have a spare device running 24/7?

Awesome! Glad to hear that you are able to mine and enjoy the project. Fair, fun and community driven is our goal!
We still need to update the list again, just been busy working haha

That's what we hope as well, the more people the better!

@EVERYONE:

Excuse our period of silence. We were bashing our heads against a wall with the external miner provided by ocminer and finally we are moving on instead of trudging through the mud.

It is regrettable but here is the error we are receiving in case anyone has an idea:
Code:
api.c: In function 'api':
api.c:525:2: error: unknown type name 'socklen_t'
  socklen_t clisiz;
  ^
make[2]: *** [cpuminer-api.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/c/Users/Admin/Documents/cpuminer-hmq1725-master'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/c/Users/Admin/Documents/cpuminer-hmq1725-master'
make: *** [all] Error 2

We had to add in directories THAT WERE MISSING FROM THE OCMINER SOURCE and STILL had that error....

ANYWAY, Auto updater is currently being configured for the Client, new nodes are also compiling the client, we burnt a good 1.5 hours on that external miner and decided that it's simply not worth wasting the time right now especially if there are a lot of users still receiving blocks solo mining.
Pools are not something we really enjoy anyway. Excuse the biased view but our definition of "fair" is not everyone hopping on a single client...
Could also just be the fact that we got annoyed and are venting out here lol.

Anyway, we aren't letting anything stop us. Moving on! (we will continue our development on the external miner but as time is of the essence we will have to come back to this).

If you want to run a "master" node this is what you need to do:

Open up port "22447" in your System's firewall, then head over to your router and setup port forwarding to your spare PCs IP address so that outside connections are forwarded to the spare machine that has the 22447 port opened up.

By doing so the router will redirect outside connections to your spare PC, (If you provide us your model of Router and the OS of your system we can give you a detailed instruction set)

I know we sound like a broken record but, this community is amazing! Thank you all!

SoloMining is definitely getting more difficult now that OCminer's pool is up and running, but I just thought I would show that even the Mac wallet has been able to hit a few blocks.  Not too bad considering that there have been few chances to do so with a mac when a new algo comes out.  This has definitely been a fun few days.

Thanks ctgiant for providing that info! I believe this actually might be the only custom algorithm coin that is mineable on a Mac (very well could be wrong but will wait for someone to show me lol).

Difficulty is fast rising and getting hard to solo mine now, I hope there is an available cpu miner for windows soon that can connect to a pool.

We will re-engage the external miner, right now though, three more nodes and the auto-updater is what is about to be released.
To be perfectly honest it's pretty crappy to release a linux only miner and then go hop on a pool... Idk why anyone would be fine with paying a fee when they could solo. Again, we don't specialize in external miners, as such this is where we draw this view from.

Thank you we are doing our best, although slower than we'd like.

well considering ocminer left out entire directories and has no intention of supplying or informing anyone on how to create a windows external miner you might be waiting for a little until our team has time to re-engage the external mining aspect.
Solo mining is still perfectly feasible and is currently our recommended method.
We don't support favoritism and that's exactly what is happening with supernova pool... linux only? C'mond guys....

Besides horribly inaccurate hashrates, requested this be addressed and received no response...
The rate vs payout is also horrible inaccurate.

Couldn't even get our project name correct:
"Suprnova's ESPCoin Pool // Algo: HMQ1725 // Pre-Reg now ! "

Since when are we ESPCoin? Does is state that anywhere in our thread? No....
