Yeah probably that would be the case.  We tend to hate someone when we do not know everything about them.  When we are not familiar with things we lack of interest.  Those people might not have tried to atleast read or see the actual thing bitcoin can make.

Only reports that wrote the negative sides were shown, like paid ransome or payments for illegal things.
So no wonder bitcoin got a doubtful image.
But I think that has changed a little in the meantime.

Yes things are changing now and bitcoin is also gaining trust from the people so we can expect that we will find new investors in coming years which will take price even higher.

I used my paypal fund to buy bitcoins before.  I just look for a legit trader and then transferred my paypal funds to her and then she gave me the corresponding amount of btc.  Though it is really sad that they will ask you for a higher fee compared to a legit traders. 

It is not hard to make a paypal account.  It just need some information just like creating account for email address and facebook.
