I think altogether, we can make the price of Bitcoin move a little. If we were to create a group of pumper and dumper in this forum, I don't think those people that has a lot of Bitcoins will go with us since we're basically a no one in this place. But adding all the Bitcoins that we have will create a relatively large amount of Bitcoin, I think that would be enough to move the price of Bitcoin but not enough to actually "manipulate" the price of Bitcoin.

The only thing I see about how we can manipulate Bitcoin price is to show more interest to it. Bitcoin became so sucessful and strong only cause of that and only that can provoke it's popularity to grow. Today Bitcoin started to appear more often on TV and professional economists are talking about it and governments are taking laws about bitcoin. All that awakes the interest from ordinary people and the interest makes the price to grow.

One man definitely can, if he is Satoshi.  The idea is that large whales can influence the price, if they have sufficient stashes of bitcoins and fiat. In the end price is moved by demand/supply, whether that demand/supply is created by one man or millions. |

I do not think that we can manipulate even we have big amount of capital, how? Manipulation is illegal we need to work fair bitcoin is created to make us profit and not to make us bad. |

I think not a good idea to create a group pumper and dumper in this forum, because anyone can take a chance and play dirty before they know that the price will pump or dump. unless the group is your friend all. bitcoin price is also very difficult to manipulate, it really requires substantial funds, is still better to manipulate altcoin prices and get a good profit there. |

I know there are many big players who manipulate bitcoin price and make huge profits but can we the bitcointalk members also form a cartel and let bitcoin price never fall?is it possible that we manipulate price as I am sure most of bitcoin users visit this forum
I think there is manipulation happen in bitcoin like other crypto currency or altcoins. Because i think there are many big holders of bitcoin that they can manipulate the price. So the bitcoin is so stable and not fall to 500$ per bitcoin coz they dont want bitcoin drop the pricr. |

The higher the adoption rate the lesser the power of the whales to manipulate the price of bitcoin, what they will do is just to hold their bitcoins and witness the price increasing because they are hoarding their bitcoins. |

Well whales will always be able to join their power and make price jump, but if the market isnt ready those pump wont last, thats the reality, a milionaire can pump bitcoin, but the risk to those are high, community support will always be in the other side, if they dont accept the new price someone will dump their coins.

They are the ones who are really controlling bitcoins price and the fact that they are able to make the price pump whenever they want. And with just their single move they are able to make good movement whether they want it to become higher or not. Because of what they are doing holding a lot and that is also considered as hoarding. |

I think for the moment where the bitcoin users still quite a bit of billionaire could have manipulated the price of pump prices as they only need to panic buying by raising the price a little, and then the pump will occur. yeah of course the risk is great because it is very likely to fail |
