The BBC reported that Wright recently confirmed his identity to prominent technology figures by digitally signing messages using the private encryption keys linked with Bitcoin blocks 1-9, which were definitively associated with the Satoshi identity. Anyone can confirm this, is this info available publicly to see, and confirm? If it was presented only to one chosen person I refuse to believe in it. So far there is no definite proof of anything. And the biggest question - why now reveal himself, after all these years? |

if he moves a coin from genesis, he IS Satoshi
I though moving coins from genesis 0 block is impossible, but signing new message is possible anyway and can prove the ownership of Bitcoin address the same way as moving coins. As it seem no private keys in Craig Wreight hands for the Satoshi Bitcoins, otherwise the proof could be delivered publictly anytime if Craig Wreight need it so much (but then he could sell some of his coins instead of convincing investors he is solvent - these Bitcoins are not time locked!). |

Which one is more significant; his age or his accomplishments? |

I think he is desperate. Maybe he has some huge financial obligations looming and needs to prove somehow that he is solvent. Clearly he exhibits almost all characteristics of a con artist, who has entered the narcissistic self-delusional mania phase, shortly before his system of lies collapses. After seeing his pictures and self-portrayal, I felt sure form the first second that I never want to do any business with this person. Interestingly Gavin did.

Wrong. Any block, after block 0, could have been mined by anyone. We don't know whether Satoshi mined it, Craig mined it, my cat mined it. It is even quite possible that Craig somehow attained access to one of Satoshi's private keys. Does it proof that im the inventor of the dollar if i got the first dollar note?

Hoax or not, this is definitely attracting everyone's attention. Btw, If any coins get moved, will it really prove that he is satoshi? Which address(es) are known to be his? Oh.. and where can I nominate my address to be the receiver of the satoshi coins ? Or will they again be moved to one of Gavin's address? |
