I believe the closest we have to Satoshi these last years, is this: https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2015-August/010238.htmlThat particular email is not known to be hacked (but we can't say for sure that it isn't), there is no spoofing involved, and he also had to register and verify the email to the mailing list: https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2015-August/010329.htmlhttps://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2015-August/010327.htmlhttps://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2015-August/010334.htmlThe writing style and essence of what is written does not have any troll like qualities like the spoofed "I'm not craig wright, we are all satoshi" message that appeared a few months later. The August one isn't spoofed, it is serious and consistent in writing style, while also trying to "sneak in" some comment of concern for bitcoin itself - as far as node incentives go. Kind'a like, since I broke my silence, let me also say this that is bothering me for a while. As far as I'm concerned it is legit with very high probability. Which, in turn, would imply that if I'm right then Satoshi was alive a few months ago. It would also imply that Craig Wright writing with one space, instead of two, is fraudulent, and that no writing style change has occurred for Satoshi, despite the passing of time since 2010. SN biggest mistake? Gavin Andresen!! let us watch what is coming next from mr. wright. with the logic above in mind it is not "big blocks".

On the edge of my seat here..... "The next communication that Paige and Conrad received from Wright was stranger still. Emails provided to Gizmodo, the authenticity of which were confirmed by Paige and Conrad, show that in February 2014, 10 months after Kleiman’s death, Wright emailed the pair to tell them about a mysterious project he’d been working on with their friend. As part of this undertaking, Wright wrote, Kleiman had mined an enormous amount of bitcoins—an amount “too large to email.” Wright asked them to ensure that Kleiman’s computers were safe, and to check whether their hard drives contained wallet.dat files, the pieces of software that contain bitcoins and their owners’ account information. On a subsequent phone call with Wright, a baffled Paige asked for more information about the partnership with Kleiman. After that, he said, Wright assumed a clandestine tone. “Can I trust you?” According to Paige, Wright eventually told him that Kleiman was the creator of Bitcoin......" http://gizmodo.com/this-australian-says-he-and-his-dead-friend-invented-bi-1746958692

Probably more likely is Gavin and Wright are conspiring together.
So far CSW is labeled a fraud, until he delivers and GA's credibility suffered a massive blow. That would be a very poor conspiracy with an easy to predict outcome. As per Economist article, it only took 90 minutes to debunk CSW's 'proof'. You may like/respect Gavin or not, but there's no way he would willingly bet his credibility on what CSW published. He got duped big time, or there's more to that story.

There's a quite poignant thread on here from Hal Finney which you've probably read but I only found recently, where he says Today, Satoshi's true identity has become a mystery. But at the time, I thought I was dealing with a young man of Japanese ancestry who was very smart and sincere.

he was only giving an example of how to verify a sig not provide proof of being satoshi
I think you should just look at Coblee's post (no need for the big song and dance and especially showing a bunch of console stuff that is meaningless to 99.9% of people). This is simply typical misdirection. And if you are so sure that this guy is Satoshi would you care to take a (say 10 BTC) bet on it? who is Coblee, no matter lets go to the source. http://www.drcraigwright.net/jean-paul-sartre-signing-significance/In the remainder of this post, I will explain the process of verifying a set of cryptographic keys. there you have it! are you willing to bet 10BTC that he isn't satoshi thats the question.

Coblee is the creator of Litecoin who signed his genesis block address and tweeted it. ya well Satoshi's way is way more interesting. i find myself nervously eating everything in the house as i await the his next epic post

<don't believe anybody has caught this to date> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_KleimanDave Kleiman (1967 – April 26, 2013) was a noted Forensic Computer Investigator, an author/coauthor of multiple books and a noted speaker at security related events. He died in his home in April 2013 of complications from MRSA. For what it's worth, Dave can still vote in Chicago, mostly likely for Democrats.

Craig could be proxy or cover for someone or something else, including Gavin, Mantonis, etc. It is clear that the evidence Gavin et al saw was totally different than what came out yesterday. The crowd took the opportunity to bash Gavin, but probably the media deserved more criticism than it got IMHO (the media should know by now its risky to take on a Satoshi reveal article - but I guess BBC didn't get the memo (why'd they choose them anyway, why not a tech journalist or personality who would understand what was happening). Perhaps the intent of yesterday was discredit the media and the traditional news cycle (and manipulators thereof) as a lesson (and assume yesterday was not about discrediting Gavin). In the alternative, perhaps w/ his tax issues, Craig needs a job and trying to demo his core dev credentials to blockstream. <--- Joke, no ill will intended twd Blockstream.

Move a coin?! There's no doubt this guy is not Satoshi! How otherwise it will go that the creator of Bitcoin doesn't even know how bitcoin works?! There are simple and assertive ways to prove yourself as Satoshi, if you are him: - Satoshi has a known PGP Key, just sign something with it. - Sign something using a known-to-belong to Satoshi address. And we do know Satoshi knows how to do things the proper way, the Genesis Block is such proof, with a newspaper headline encoded on it. This guy however just goes by far fetched senseless crap, like encoded pieces on the block chain, now move coins...
