First off  I wonder if anyone has some 200 dollar coupons

my bitmain id is:

philipma1957

I am thinking of buying a few units today.

Secondly  more efficient gear is coming which is not a big deal if you have 3 or 4 or 5 cent power.

But if you have 10 or 12 or 15 cent power  you may want new gear.

As to mining fucking up let me explain  a few things  about profit.

coins are 11,460 at coinbase on march 3 2018

coins were 1230 at coinbase on march 5 2017

that is a factor of 9.317 to 1

diff is now 3,007,383,866,429  on march 3 2018
diff was       460,769,358,090   on march 3 2017

that is a factor of 6.526 to one

this means  9.317/6.526 =  1.427

so a working s-9  right now   is  + 42.7 percent better off then it was  a year ago  on March 3 2017

This is why If someone would like to send me a few 200 dollar coupons I would buy an s-9 or a t-9 today.

my  donation id is philipma1957

My advice  to those looking to get into mining

the s-9
is loud
it is hot
it breaks

Please understand  those risks  before you buy them.

I think anyone buying these right now are catching knives. Bitmain has a 10nm miner coming. They are liquidating their old stock, I'm pretty sure its not only me who knows this. But since no one wants to say it. I will, please don't ask for proof or anything, I could be talking out my ass, but honestly, you guys already know.

It is all about your power cost.

I can handle a few s-9's or t-9's  based on the idea of buy and hold.

Also if I was to get  a 200 dollar coupon for the t-9  it would be about 100 usd a th that is decent as I have 'free' power in the solar array.

10mm is still a ways off.  This would just be more efficient gear, like 15-16TH...

the hell are you talking about.......its already here, I think you're mistaking 10nm for 7nm (which is a ways off). Ebang has already come out with the 10nms but they jacked the price up quite alot. Without saying much more, I can say at least 2 more manufacturers coming out with 10nm soon.

But as Phil says, if you got the cheap powaz Its still a pretty good buy.

Ebang's stuff still not better than the s9.   Again more efficient gear is coming first...

Why do they give out so many then? They want people to split their orders up into a million smaller ones?

they prefer you give them out to new people more then anything else.

I now have more then enough 100 dollar ones.  I think  I could use 1 or 2 more 200 dollar ones.

Without lower than 0.05USD/KW power I don't think its worth it to be mining BTC at this point. We had the bull run last year, reaped the rewards of stagnation for the past 2 years. So lets say we do follow a hyperbolic path towards the moon, we'd still need another 3-6 months before this stagnation period is over. Unfortunately, I truly believe this will cause even more miner centralization in BTC, at least geographically.

”More than one Coupon cannot be used for the purchase of one miner.” You can use as many coupons as you have miners in your order.
