Even if price starts going down in coming days I will never get panic and will hold my coins till price bounce back once again and instead of selling my coins at lower price I will try to buy more coins at lower price to have more amount of bitcoins in my wallet.
That's a good attitude, if you panic you will lose in the game because in the the people who have a good patience will be victorious. I have no idea when will the price increase will stop or the value will dump but right at this very moment, it is the right time where we must be more active in monitoring the value of bitcoin so we can make the right timing to sell.

If there is not a bad event to make everybody panic than no, that 1-guy-panic-sell won't affect anybody's thoughts.

On the contrary, that single man dump will be filled up with the buy orders and price will be the same as before.

Only if there is a rumor/fact like a mass hacking/banning news or smth like that can make everyone to dump their coins.

One should only sell if the technology they believe in is broken. FUD talk is mainly intended to get cheap bitcoin from weak hands.

I guess we are looking @ the law of gravity.

There is expectation of a slight drop that could lead to a rebounds up north.

Its normal especially to newbies in bitcoin and trading to panic when the price is going down. They tend to do that because they lack experience and enough knowledge about the nature of bitcoins and trading. But the longer they are in the business and their experience becomes wider then they will no longer panic and just do proper trading leaving strong emotion aside that impedes their judgment.
Well if you see most of the people who have invested are newbies itself. There are very less people who actually take the effort to
know more about the currency and how it works. Basically people see that bitcoin was 0.1$ some 7 years ago and now it is 900$ so
they invest in it. And when it reaches 1000$ and starts falling a bit they start selling.

If they only look at how the price has performed in last years, and take for granted that it will happen again, then they are just blindly buying (also known as gambling) themselves into Bitcoin. If you take into consideration that the price tanks heavily every now and then, then it's just a matter of time before these people get shaken out of the market with heavy losses as result. They either learn from it, or simply remove themselves entirely from investing in Bitcoin.
What makes you say that bitcoin is gonna disappoint it's investors. I agree there are ups and lows but if you see in long run it is profitable. The limited supply is one of the reason that makes me trust on the currency that it won't end up like gold. Even though most of the investor do blindly invest but I don't think they will ever regret about this in the future.

I nowhere stated that Bitcoin is going to disappoint investors. I was talking about how newbies get shaken out of the market as they completely ignore the recent market situation because they base their decisions on how the market has performed in the past. People (newbie or senior investor) if they blindly buy they need a lot of luck to leave with profits, or they (most likely) sell in panic due to their expectations not being met.
I don't think there is currently in the bitcoin community who actually sells his bitcoin as a loss because no matter what happens bitcoin price will surely increase in the future no matter what happens. Selling bitcoin at a loss is the worst decision a holder can ever do.

Such a decision can only be made by the person who does not believe in bitcoin. These are random people in the bitcoin community.
I think that before you sell, you need to carefully study the news and analyze the market
Actually i have noticed those people who are against bitcoin and keep on criticising it are the ones who have invested most of their savings in it. I just don't get it what will they actually get if they don't support bitcoin as more support = more price. And recent stats show that it is getting full support from the new community

The reason behind panic selling is that people lack patience and they get panic when they see price going down and start selling their coins at cheaper price and I think that is the time when we should hold our coins tight and wait for the price to bounce back again but generally people doesn't follow this simple rule.

It is not the patience that triggers panic selling.  It is the lack of knowledge on what it is their holding.  Lack knowledge meand lack of faith, and lack of faith means easily get shaken when dumps occurs, may it valid or fake dump.  So the first move this people who lack faith is to sell their holdings the soonest the can.
Impatient will also have the effect of panic because if you are patient you will survive and not panic when the price goes down. Knowledge also gives effect. If you have any knowledge of course you know the bitcoin price cycle and want to be patient in holding bitcoin

Having in mind the current price and the potential that could be seen many who have sold their coins in panic not so long time ago, now are probably regreting it. This is another proof that you have to think twice before making sudden decisions and it's good to keep the cool head.
So, cool head, patience and keeping eye close on the market, this is the receipe to survive on Bitcoin world.

Yes ,because if you think and get with the flow of your emotions you will result in wrong decisions.
In selling it is good when you sell at high price but more i observe many sold their coins at low price of waiting the ath of the ath..

That sounds more like a investment if you buy and hold for a long periode.
Panic selling starts when your losses get to high from the point you bought inn and not want or cant take more losses.
People who are already on the gain dont sell out of panic.

Indeed, good thing i didnt sell my bitcoins last week because if i did i will never experience this moment that i gain with my investment. patience is really the key if you are an investor because youll never know whats waiting ahead. so think carefully before you sell there might be good opportunity when you hold on.

Patience will be very suitable for the longterm investment, In trading and if you're want to short the coin and it just takes a right timing to get on the trade market.

And a lot of factors need to be considered before try to take a long-term decision.

I think some coin will not worth to be longterm investment especially like EDR and something like that's just a scam coin.

you just got what i was about to say. patience indeed! we must have this especially now that bitcoins price is pumping so high. but dont you think guys that many will panic sellbecause of the higher price? and they might want to take profit now than feeling lost when there will be dumps soon?

For now, it's not strange if panic selling happens. The current bitcoin price is really high, in fact I'm thinking of selling 50% of the bitcoin I've stored all this time. Maybe this will generate huge profits. But, there is a possibility the bitcoin price will rise again.

What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?

You just need to buy coins at a low price and wait a while. Here after a couple of months you can get a small profit from purchased coins at a low price.
The timing will be after a big rise there will a big dump also so buy in deep. It is much better to buy as much as you can afford but not all of your funds .
Yes, dividing your funds into various segments is a good idea; you will be secure from a side. No matter if some of your investment you think can be dumped. For the bitcoin saying it will not be fair because it is such an investment that even by the alts it will be more strengthened as they use the BTC for the exchange and BTC will always be on the top.

I think the people selling now are not panic selling. They want to take their profit. And they are right to do so. I know that it will be hard to buy bitcoin much cheaper then this simply bitcoin is in an upwards spiral which is not likely to end.

I hope the price increase will not end, this should help us to make more income of our investment. I do not panic sell as well because I love to hold when it gives me good return, maybe if the price will start to dump we can see some people panicking and they are those who bought at the current price pump.

This is a typical thing in any market. A panic sell is quite normal, and a recovery usually always follows. You'll always see action from panic trading, that's where the money is to be made for the level minded players.

It's surely is a normal move upon seeing those people that are satisfied with the current price. But when someone starts to do so, the price will going to keep on being down and that's the start of others to do the same thing because they doesn't want to be late in able to cover some profit.
I do not think that trading bitcoin is the same as trading forex. I think no margin call or pip in bitcoin trading. Panic selling is fine as long as we can get profit. We do not have to worry if bitcoin price down because we are see that bitcoin price will always rise, aren't we. So do not do panic selling if we afraid to lose money.
Usually when people people they sell their bitcoins a a lower price and whales will enter to buy cheap bitcoins. Whatever happen we should not panic but it can only be possible if we know and understand what we are doing, there are a lot of traders and investors but only few of them are doing their job that's why when there's hype and FUD, they are easily affected.
I don’t understand that why does it becomes panic for someone ? It may be for those who are selling the bitcoin due to certain reason when in a time when the prices are even low. The traders or the investors are just performing their job by purchasing and selling their Bitcoin in a good time period for them. This is business and what they are doing is just accurate.

For now, it's not strange if panic selling happens. The current bitcoin price is really high, in fact I'm thinking of selling 50% of the bitcoin I've stored all this time. Maybe this will generate huge profits. But, there is a possibility the bitcoin price will rise again.

Well that's the obvious move when someone saw the price of bitcoin going down. Specially newbie, they really panic and sell their bitcoin when they see the price of bitcoin going down. Yeah I agree with you, we all hope that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise and going to the moon so that we will not see people panic and sell everything.

Not just newbies who do that, many day traders/speculators who do panic sales and immediately move focus to altcoin market if bitcoin prices continue to fall without stagnant movements more than 3 days. I don't want bitcoin to skyrocket as it is now because there will be a point where people manage to issue a spectacular negative issue. Better to move slow rather than keep going up with maximum speed.
