In my point of view, there is a possibility that bitcoin will be
replaced by another cryptocurrency. As we all know people/users
also the reasons why bitcoin become popular. And bitcoin become
in demand because of users who brought bitcoin into the world.
Thus, there is a big chance that this will be repalced by another
cryptocurrency since its being manipulated by people also.
yeah it may happen even some time ago had surfaced that etherum arch-rivals for bitcoin, and there are a lot of people to join etherum even etherum daily turnover could reach more than 1200 BTC, but fortunately not in a sliding bitcoin by the popularity of etherum But Ethereum will never replace bitcoin, ethereum market is manipulated, bitcoin is not or hard to be manipulated. And I don;t think bitcoin will be replaced by any altcoin if bitcoin can adapt with the situation. And I believe that bitcoin will adjust according to the current needs economically and technically Yeah people who use etherium and another altcoin is just use it gain their bitcoin by trading. so they buy etherium and then change it back to bitcoin. There are so many new cryptocurrency born and die. Bitcoin is only one which never die, that is the fact. So I do not think that bitcoin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency. Those altcoins will always die. The other coins are the proof of it. Just this ethereum is taking more time before it gets to the point that they are already rich and can manage to get the ROI and pay their employees retirement fees. It will end also the money is not just enough now. |

A big no, there are not any alt that has enough potential and features to beat the bitcoin. As well as bitcoin users and marketcap is really big than most of the altcoins which shows the adoption of bitcoin is very high than any alts. Nobody can predict the future however bitcoin may remain number one crypto for next few years.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.

I don't see any altcoin taking over any time soon. Even ETH, Dogecoin, Litecoin, any coin isn't powerful enough to beat Bitcoin. Bitcoin has always been the base of all altcoins. Without Bitcoins, altcoins might not even be where it is today. In addition, altcoins nowadays are just there for people that are looking for a coin to trade. It doesn't have a use or purpose at all. You just buy altcoins to sell it later for a higher price.

at this rate it seems like t's already happening right now.
bitcoin is losing market share at a rapid rate.
I don't know about this 'rapid rate' but some decline is happening because people are thinking that bitcoin is losing ground while in fact it doesn't. So they spread FUD that BTC can't be upgraded to be better coin, it's old tech etc. - and as a result centrally controlled coins are gaining popularity. |

The only thing that bitcoin cant offer is being anonymous transactions, as all the deals will show off into the wallet, i dont see it as a problem but as an advantage, with this method you may know how much money you had spent, something with fiat we dont control or do know the ammount.

The bitcoin is not so anonymous. It is semi anonymous. The major anonyous coin is the Monero. |

But on the other hand I won't say that it is impossible. You may have some other crypto currency which may grow up to bitcoin's level in future but probably that currency won't have the power to replace it. It is just that people will start enjoying the fruits of that currency as well. That will be only good for the crypto currency world only.
