You can use any "normal" scrypt-n pool soft, just edit the Scrypt-Scratchpad Buffer in scrypt.cpp or scrypt.h to meet the (insane) setting of Verium and pass "19" to the N factor of the miner when mining..

In unomp files I edited Scratchpad Buffer to the value i found in verium scrypt.h - the miners i've found need N factor to be power of 2 so can't pass 19  Cry

out of passing random powers as N factor I have 11 accepted shares and ~600 failed XD

Any chance you can elaborate on your last post?

UPDATE

I ended up getting shares submitted / accepted using scrypt:4096 on miner, Is the daemon rejecting 'blocks' because of this incorrect N factor?

Use scrypt:1048576

That's N = 19, which is 2^1+N or 2^20.

If you cannot set Nfactor correctly, you cannot use that miner. Then you'd need to use my modified miner:

https://github.com/ocminer/cpuminer-verium

Hi ocminer, I've compiled your miner already, but when I look in to the help, I see that,
I can only run sha-256 and scrypt algos with this branch.
So I'm not sure which setting I have to use for successful run.
Can you help me with that?
cheers

e: should I use, something like this?
minerd -a scrypt:1048576 -o -u -p ?

so for the top 250 addresses, when I import my private key from my VRC wallet to my VRM wallet it has no effect on the coins in my VRC wallet right?

Yes...your Vericoin stays, you will be payed in VRM in your Verium wallet for the amount you staked during the ICO period

I can not be more than 24 threads in mining, as long as more than just closed wallet file exit error.
My CPU is the 32 core, memory 16G, the system is win7 X64
What caused the problem?

After all there is nothing special about the algo, it just has a bigger Scratchpad Size and a large Nfactor.

algo is very special. it's scrypt²  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I am just playing around with the standalone miner.

Its getting any work. I am guessing I have something wrong in my .conf file.

Could someone post their .conf file code for using the external miner please?

Thanks for all your help in this topic + verium miner, I don't think I would have found this info otherwise =)

For the veriumd? Mine looks like

Code:
addnode=vrmsupernode.vericoin.info
addnode=vrmsupernode3.vericoin.info
gen=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=CHOOSEUSERNAME
rpcpassword=CHOOSEPASSWORD
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=2300
server=1

Can somebody shed some light, as to the difference between solo mining and using the miner built into the wallet? I thought it would give the same results?

both is solomining, but in standalone miner, there is a chance, that it could be more optimized,
and of course, you need only one wallet, on multiple pcs

You can post a compiled mining software? I don't know how to compile? Can you use existing mining software directly?

Got to help "Check for update", or http://www.vericoin.info/veriumlaunch.html to download new Verium wallet 1.0.1.  Minor bug fixes and maintenance update for enhanced connectivity, security and full "Blockchain Reload" support.
