Hi Citronick:
I see your suggested config on nicehash, but then i think about that time when nicehash get out of orders.

1.- what's your comments about that, is needed or not? (because im thinking on add a backup pool for that time)
2.- That backup need an extranonce off (I think), do you have an example (For command line off course, we are on simplemining Wink )?

Thanks in Advance!

1. 1st NH pool should be nearest to your miner. The failover pool should be the main pool (ie. Nicehash USA node). The USA node I think should be the "most protected" node for NH since, all their users will probably complain if the pool is down. So NH will have all the incentive in the world to keep that main node alive.

1b. In the case of "out of orders" - I doubt it. I see in order marketplace for Cryptonight now -- seems more buyers then sellers driving up selling price. IMHO, as long as ETH, ZEC or XMR is still top ranking in NH and also active in most crypto currency exchanges like Poloniex -- nothing to worry about. If "out of orders" really happens, assuming really no buyers then .... probably you need to change strategy to mine to a XMR pool (as your failover pool) or change coin entirely.

2. extranonce is a NH thing - so as long as rigs pointed to NH, I think sgminer by default turns it on. You should be able to see the extranonce status checked in NH worker site.

This is just my opinion and strategies. Welcome any other feedback.

Today i have problem at 20+ rigs with:

#########################################
Checking connection to simplemining.net ...
Trying connect simplemining.net.... Trying 2/4
Trying connect simplemining.net.... Trying 3/4
Trying connect simplemining.net.... Trying 4/4

Some rigs are connected and mining, another ones have this connection problem. I see this in simplemining panel. I was tested internet connection, and LAN options at windows machine. All works fine. Pings etc are good too.

Logs from one rig:

Tytanick,

Just setup SRR briefly -- will continue in the weekend.

Setup was ok -- after a bit of reading from your PDF Guide etc.

I set my first rig on the dashboard and Windows Utility was setup ok --- identified SRR unit and also got information for rig I just setup.

Going back to the rig SRR option on dashboard for 2nd time.... I dont see the information I keyed in previously.

Is this normal? I would expect that rig information will be saved on the dashboard option page.

Setup 3 rigs now, and ran out of time as I need to go for out of town trip for few days.

Will come back in weekend to complete the other rigs.

Thanks

I am always willing to try new things with my test rig.
Not sure when I can be on my location to set up the test rig with the OS.
I have 2 test rigs (6x R9 290 and 6x RX480) When it's possible I will upload the performance.

Is it possible to add own miner(s)/mining pools, I am also running few rigs on Boolberry.

BTW, small request... can the watchdog timeout be extended to 600 seconds or more - I noticed it goes up to 250 secs - in some instances where there is a short Internet cut -- it may good to wait a minute or 2 for cases like that without rebooting rig. Thanks

Thats great!

I think posting in the other SRR thread will be better so that I can share my review as I go along with other owners.

So far so good - this SRR will be very useful for my farm.

I have a R 1012 did't use for a long time. Now, it is back online but I see there is a new version. How to update? As I remember the rig was auto updating in the past.

Yep it was but not for rigs offline for few months Tongue
You need to reflash with newest version.
Auto-update is working from about 1030 version

Isnt claymore eth the fastest right now?
I can look into it but its not priority unless its faster.

I would like Nicehash-Ethash mining this is the top on WhattoMine..

I was try this settings:
--no-submit-stale --kernel DaggerHashimoto -o stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -u 178g34XsdfVTdJeNdhdfmjaNCFcXDLapJ.$rigName -p x --rawintensity 1008 -w 8 --text-only

And got this error message:
Go to simplemining.net and login with your email to manage this rig !
============ Preparing miners =============
============ OVERCLOCKING =================
OC values ok
============ Starting Miner ===============
[21:24:19] Algorithm DaggerHashimoto not found, using ckolivas.

Isnt claymore eth the fastest right now?
I can look into it but its not priority unless its faster.

for ETH

Use Claymore 7.4

It works for Nichash just fine

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...
