Good evening, I RMAed my biostart tb85 because I thought it was defective. On simplemining I could not get the card 0 (PCI 16 slot) to run over 8 hash. I tired this with multiple cards so I know those are fine. BUT the new board is now doing the same thing. All other slots are getting 25 hash with no problem and ran for over a week without any errors. With 5 cards it runs fine but as soon as I plug in the X16 slot that 6th card runs awful. Any help would be great!
Settings: -Stock BIOS -No overclocks -Power level 5 Also note:
On simple miner I cant get the core or mem clock on GPU 0 (X16 slot) to go over 300/600 even with stock clock and mem settings in place.
Can you test PCI-E Mode to Auto, gen1, gen2 and see if it will help ? Also i just tested MSI Z270-A PRO. It is working under my OS with 6 GPU. I had to make some adjustments and the newest image (RX) from simplemining.net page is working ok with this board Just wanted to let you know. I just tried to change the gens with no luck. I also swapped that riser again just to be sure its not that. I was watching boot closely and notice an error saying "Failed to send pre message 260 ret is 0". Bump Any help would be great. Went back to 5 cards and running fine but I would like to run the 6th. Have you disabled onboard graphics and explicitly set your PCIe speed to x1? I have this board and currently running 3 cards with one of them in the x16 slot. If I haven't made these settings I get the low hash problem you describe. The other thing I have noticed on this board is that this setting will reset back to default so check it again even if you think you have set it correctly.

I recently got back in the game and to say the least I am amazed how well this works. With that said I fired up a machine with R7800 cards, some of the cheapest yet most performing cards I ever owned. They only have 1gb, but have proven amazing. Problem I am having is.. I can only start 1. No matter what I do 1 goes and gives me error of Make sure you set GPU_ALLOC_MAX_PERCENT 100. How do I do this and where?
Thanks in advance!

The other coins, well, yes AMD is still ahead there.

It looks like smOS could be good with a few simple improvements: 1) documentation. There is no information about what kernel versions and driver versions are used for the R9 and Rx versions. It doesn't matter much for fglrx, but it does matter whether smOS uses AMDGPU-Pro 16.30, 16.40 or 16.60. 2) simplify registration. I don't know if it is ad-blocking plugins or just bad design, but the google captcha sometimes turns into a registration nazi and lets nothing through. To avoid the email registration being used for spamming, a rate limit per IP (even 1 attempt per hour) could be used.

tytanick, I have RX470 and RX480 8GB models, but when I do ETH + DCR mining, the ETH speed drops. What options do you apply?

I am seeing this message scroll over and over on the monitor while mining but it never shows up in the console on the dashboard. What is this error trying to tell me? I currently am running 6 470s on a tb250-btc. http://imgur.com/a/tVg4b

Just completed my first rig so figured post it so other ppl can get some numbers and other who run similar rig can give some advice as well. Mining ZEC on flypool with claymore miner 12.4 - NO MOD Components: Mobo: Biostar TB85 Ram: 4gb PSU: 1300W EVGA G2 (will use 1000w G2 for the next rigs) CPU: G1840 Celeron HDD: 16gb thumbdrive - SmOS GPU: 1 x RX470 8GB MSI GAMING-X OC 2 x RX470 4GB ASUS STRIX OC 3 x RX470 4GB MSI ARMOR OC https://i.imgur.com/GjvnAq6.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/0S5BnAi.jpgP.S.: Just completed with 3 x Rx470 4GB ARMOR, before the addition I was getting close to 860 H/s with 1240/1950 (5-6). With 6 cards it was unstable with those setting and was running too hot for my liking(loud as well). With current setting its been running smoothly (1050/1500 (0) - 1.50MH/s). I think I could do better then that so some tips would be appreciated. Thank @tytanick for sharing your bit with the community! Please share your settings so you can do your bit for the community:)

Good choice 470s R9 or 10XX Nvidia cards best for ZEC
