Hello SimpleMining Dev, Question, I know recently you have advised people not to use SSH aka not to open ssh ports. But honestly ssh is perfect for live viewing of multiple rigs so i have a question. I went ahead and changed the root and miner passwords as to prevent an attacker changing my rigs from mining something else. would this cause issues for simpleOS , say from updating or anything like that ? To be frank your website version of viewing the rig is not even an option as its missing the ability to watch it live and to give it command line changes aka + - on dual mining and so on or even clicking S for stats. so please let me know if changing the password is an issue for you (DEV) and if it would cause issues down the line in term of you pushing updates and so on.

I'am not a SMOS dev but I believe it should not impact the system in any way since he only makes some rest api calls to the website backend.

Hello everyone, I am making my first NVIDIA based rig: Asus Z270F STRIX Gaming 6 x Palit GTX 1060 6GB DDR5 (Hynix) Latest BIOS, all recommended BIOS settings are there - to the best of my knowledge. Started with one card first, no problems mining with the card in Windows 10 with latest drivers or in nvOC after updating the drivers. Etched simpleminer-RX-NV-rc2.img on 16GB SanDisk USB drive, booted, and unfortunately, card is not being properly detected by the OS. I am unable to update the drivers to another version that could support this 1060, as nvidia-390 (and nvidia-384 and nvidia-387) crashes during building (kernel too old? I am not an expert ) Definitely forgetting something basic, as no one seems to be complaining about lack of support for 1060 GPU. Some output from a freshly etched pendrive: miner@simpleminer:~$ nvidia-smi -L Unable to determine the product name for gpu 0000:02:00.0: Unknown Error miner@simpleminer:~$ lspci | grep NVIDIA 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1c06 (rev a1) 02:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation Device 10f1 (rev a1) miner@simpleminer:~$ cat /proc/driver/nvidia/version NVRM version: NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 387.22 Wed Oct 25 23:13:21 PDT 2017 GCC version: gcc version 5.4.0 20160609 (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.5) Needless to say, miners cannot communicate with the card... Would happily give more info if needed. Please advise, thank you.

This didnt work for me: 3 Rigs are 500km away and in SM it says "offline", but its still working, i have access to the router and also see the consumption ... In SM i see its Software RX 1142, and the network has ipv6... It worked find up till today PLEASE help ASAP Please write to me at admin@simplemining.netI would need from you ssh access to one of your rigs to check it out or team veiwer to any windows that is in the same network LAN as rigs. Also i see that sometimes there is problme that 0,5% user having when cloudflare is changing ip addresses of my domain. It seems that some DNS resolvers on client side are not working properly and that would be the ISP fault or client router. Still i would like to check it.

No problem, you can change ssh password. When you change to both account to something strong like 12+ characters then its ok. It wont break anything. The console view i have in plans - upgrading this feature to have much faster and more live status there. For longer perspective i have also in plans giving possibility to use something like web integrated ssh console for each rig but i will need much more time to make this right and secure.

Hello,
I am new to simple mining. So far, it has been a little frustrating...But from what I hear all GPU mining setups are frustrating. I am relatively new to mining- only have been doing it for a couple of months. These are the two issues I have thus far, and I thought I would post it here so someone can help me fine tune my miner.
Setup
H110 BTC PRO 3 1070 3 1050 Ti Above powered by: 80+ Platinum 1300 Watt Power Supply 6 1050 Ti Above powered by: separate 80+ Platinum 850 Watt Power Supply 16 GB usd 2.0 Stick
Problem 1:
I am using both versions of CCminer. I cannot figure out how to change intensity. I add the -i {n} where it is supposed to go, but it doesn't change it. I wanted to do that for the Neoscrypt mining I am doing, and see if it yields better results, because my hash rate has been much lower than projected from whattomine
Problem 2:
I can't change memory settings. At least I can, but if I do so for any card- all cards register the change, but only a few cards work...It doesn't crash. It will run 5-6 cards and not tell me there is problem, but I get a less than 50% hasrate, and I can see only a few cards working after an hour. Simple miner GUI shows all cards overclock, but only 4-9 of them are working. I wanted to try to run the cards at a +150 core, +100 to +500 memory overclock. I don't know if this is a power issue on my end, but it doesn't seem to be. Everything is hooked up right, and all risers are going to PCI-E 6+2 Plug.
If I don't change the memory, and leave it to just a +150 core clockspeed- everything works fine. I can even undervolt the cards to 60w/130w stable. When I plug in only 6 cards (3 1050 ti 3 1070) I can run the memory up to +1200 stable for about 3-4 hours before getting a problem. But the moment I plug in all the cards- nothing seems to work as far as the memory settings- It registers, but like only half the cards run (its different every time).
Also, what to mine shows that at +150 +500 at 75 volt 1050 ti show a neoscrypt hashrate of around 420kh. I'm getting a solid 360-385kh, which seems to be pretty low. It doesn't really change when I raise/lower memory, and I have 3 different brands of cards- They all seem to put out the same. I'm wondering if this is an intensity thing, which I can't figure out how to change. The same goes for 1070- I get around 950 when around +150 +500.

Hey got a request for you please, Can you kindly add ip whitelist or remember me on this computer or some sort of function so your website does not log me out so quickly. I have enabled 2 factor auth and you have the capcha so safety wise we are good but honestly its driving me crazy having to login from my own home computer 30 times a day . I mean if u can make it remember the computer for say 6hrs or 12hrs or something then that would be great. Also one more thing , i dont know if this is possible and how easy or hard it would be but if you can implement some kind of a screengrab right before a miner reboots due to crash that would be amazing, I mean my rigs sometimes i guess reload or reboot and i am not always sitting in front of ssh to catch the issue , and all i see is simplemining.net saying xzy rig restart 2 times. anyway thank u in advance

Hi tytanick, do you plan to add the latest version of ethminer (0.13)? It work as well as Claymore for nvidia's gpus without the dev fee when mining ether.
Please add ethminer (0.13)

Guys, how to correctly setup Claymore 10.6 in SimpleMining.net for Ethermine.org? Im running 2 rigs of 6 x XFX 470 8Gb solo mining Ethereum in a pool and I have huge problems regarding reported hashrate vs average hashrate. Im using the following command line: -wd 0 -r -1 -epool stratum+tcp://eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0xwallet.Miner -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -asm 1 -dcri 5Explanation: wd 0 // if one card is stuck because of bad riser or some other problem the minner keeps going. r -1 // no restart except manually epool // Stratum protocol -esm 0 // should I use 1? -epsw x // I should drop this -allpools 1 // I guess this pays the devfee, correct? -asm 1 // related to dcri option -dcri 5 // is it really needed if I dont dual mine? Thanks for your help Once I sort out the problem I`ll post the right command line so other can future use it.

Yes i will add it as there are few requests already. PHI miner isnt on my list right now. Hi all, I am new user of SMOS. Can I ask , if its possible change reboot timeout from 180sec, when miner crash? Thank you.
What do you mean ? Right now smos reboots itself instantly when there is some kernel problem. I have also in plans adding more informations about crash like storing dump from miner console or dmesg.

Hi guys,
Sorry for the stupid question, I have been looking for that but couldn't find the answer. So the question is how to connect to my rig via putty? Where to find my rig ip and which port to use? I know my external ip address, but the rig is behind firewall and maybe that is the problem.
Thanks in advance.
