According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Been lurking for a few days and decided to setup an account early on.  Been doing what mining I can (maxed out at 14.0 Mh/s, booya!) on a laptop and just sort of edging my way into the community.

You could try this:

The hope of a secure and livable world lies with disciplined nonconformists who are dedicated to justice, peace and brotherhood.

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

Hi, I'm new to this and like everyone else would like some bitcoins here is a referral link to minefield. You've probably all played before but I figure this is worth a try. https://bitcointalk.org/annoyance.php or http://minefield.bitcoinlab.org/?r=eOILlYnAWx0DWKtx Here's my address if anyone's feeling generous. 1LnkzKuJDCRyYjZQCjmgeYaSNDBeLdC7hj

Hi. :-)

First ran across this site a couple of weeks ago...some CPU mining on my VPS paid off a while back. I'm only managing about 25 MH/s between a Core 2 Quad Q6600, a couple of GeForce 9500GTs, and whichever Xeons my VPS is running on, but I'm considering stepping up to something more powerful.

Lurker who has been mining for eight months.  Did the GPU mining for a while and still do but that has been crap compared to BFL setup.  I am a BFL fan so boo to you if you don't like them.  Also my name represents that I am using solar to power my mine so ha to you all who buy your power for the man, just kidding around.

I want to be able to post more so that is why I am introducing myself otherwise I am very low key and like to watch, don't get into drama and just trying to be real and make some money.

Hello,

I've been researching Bitcoin for a while, and am interested in the investment opportunities provided by it. Bitcoin has come a long way since I first heard of it, and breaking into the community seems like a challenge. Any advice is appreciated.
