Hi, I'm madwaloo.  Heard about bitcoins a year ago but it sounded like a scam so I didn't look into it.  Wish now that I had.  Just got started with my freebie "faucet" .005 bitcoin. Yay!

New person here!  I switched to decaf Sad

Read up on BitCoins a while back, probably a year ago.  Sounded complicated to get started so I brushed it off.  Came back out of pure boredom to get in the action!

What I want is to join a pool, and get knowledge from a person rather than a wiki page or PDF!  So, anyone need someone to join their pool?

Hello. I am a software developer from Vancouver BC. I have divested myself of fiat currency and only keep enough "dollars" to live month to month. The rest I have been putting into physical silver and gold for the last several years.

I would like to adjust my stack to include bitcoins due to their very high liquidity. I do NOT want the government knowing that I have money, it is none of their business. It is my hopes that a good BTC collection will allow me to do business outside of big brothers gaze.

Hi, I first learnt about Bitcoin in May 2011. Bought some coins right away (at ~10 USD) and registered on the forum here. Then got a 6870 in June and have been mining for almost a year. Bought some more coins as 4-6 USD this year. I'm an avid user of Electrum and setup Electrum server on my mining box (no public access because of dynip but just to gain some experience in operating one).

I now wanted to post in the BFL SC pre order thread and noticed I've never actually posted around here - which means I can't post Smiley First post here then...

I believe the world will change quite considerably this decade. Bitcoin (rather the concept) will be part of this change. Govts will fight it, we'll prevail (hopefully).

I bought my first coins on May this year via bitcoin.de. Damn, my investment has more than doubled! I am lurking bitcointalk since than. Got friends in touch with it and bore the pants off people with talking to much about bitcoin and cyber security^^ Beside the enormous trading opportunities, I am most interested in getting BTC broadly accepted and used. And being ideological about Bitcoin as the future money. I considerate Bitcoin to be at a point the Internet itself was in 1995. That alone makes me spend all!
