Looking to sell tf2 items for BTC. Also, any recommendations for withdrawing BTC to USD anonymously (or pseudoanonymously)? I use bitfloor for deposits, but I'm not 100% comfortable with the fact that they want ID for direct deposit to my bank account.

Hi everyone.  Long time friend of bitcoin here, although I haven't mined since they were $0.10/bitcoin since I didn't have the rig for it once people started hopping on board and cranking on the GPUs.

I do some trading in bitcoin and trading in many other things.  My background is in finance and economics, with my "traditional" economics being mostly unlearned in favor of something that made actual sense a la the 2008 crash - the Austrian school.  I'm sure I'm not alone on here.

Are people holding BTC's for the long haul?  I have been holding my latest batch of about 300 since they dropped off to $5.00 a pop last fall.  That first run up was amazing, and it looks like we are going to get at least a few more dollars out of this latest rally.  P.S. If you want live updated charts for Mt. Gox you can use the gox feed through Sierra Chart, all the way down to one minute bars.  Very handy (although you have to pay after you've used up the 2 weeks trial period).

Hi, I'm Neo CortX

I got familiar with bitcoin after watching Max Keiser on RT. He was talking about Bitcoin, and I figure I could check it out even though it was probably just another scam.

Was I ever wrong.

I have studied economics and finance for quite a few years, and I also know a few things about cryptography. It was easy to see that the Bitcoin protocol offered something completely new, and within one week of hearing the word "Bitcoin", I had purchased my first stock of bitcoins and sent it to my computer. I actually came up with a similar idea to Bitcoin back in 2007, but I was not even close to being able to implement anything like it. But naturally, when some brilliant genius(es) figured out a way to solve many of the problems, I fell in love immediately.

I'm still in love, even though I clearly see some of the minor flaws in the system.

The system is built around a lucid and solid ethical standard, which helps strengthen the system. A few weaknesses can be said to be found in the implementation, but these might be fixed over time.

If this system will be able to sustain the attacks that will inevitably come from governments, this system can change the human condition like nothing else. If Bitcoin succeed, I think it might change the human condition more than internet itself. I see a world of peace and prosperity if it succeeds. Wars will be impossible to conduct, since large scale wars always are conducted by governments with access to printing presses.

I "pray" to reality that the developers of Bitcoin will be able to fortify the Bitcoin system before it's taken down. If it's not taken down, this might be "the reason that internet was created".
