I have been reading through a ton of posts and have found a lot of great information. I just pre-ordered a BLF Jalapeño and am excited to try my hand at mining.

I've been small-scale mining for six months using night time idle time on graphics workstations.

I recently transferred my stash to Mt. Gox and since I'm having trouble finding an institution in my country that'll allow me to withdraw to it I'm looking forward to busting my newbies restrictions cherry so I can join the discussion on the appropriate sub-board and hopefully find answers from my fellow Canadians who have surely solved this problem before me.

I probably should've stopped lurking a long time ago so that my hands wouldn't be tied in this way now, but I'll probably come to regret regretting that. I usually rue regret.

Hi. suranyami here. I'm a Ruby developer.

I'm interested in mining, and also going to look into any opportunities for creating web services that use the BTC ecosystem.

I ran a little experiment mining on my (now quite old) desktop, but the graphics card was getting abysmal throughput. After about 2 weeks I think I managed to earn a massive 0.0001 BTC.

So, now I'm eyeing off the Butterfly Labs ASICs. I put an order in for a Jalapeño... can't wait till it arrives.

Once I've given that a try, hopefully take a bigger plunge into ASICs.

I'm planning on using my Raspberry Pi as the controller.

If anyone has any ideas for BTC web services, I'd be interested in partnering up on the tech build side. I tend to use Rails, MongoDB, WebSockets, and lots of other groovy tech.

I have searched and searched but can not find any reference to  "too many values to unpack".  Anyone have any ideas?

Hi mancBTC here, been mining for a while now and lurking on this board for a little longer, thought it was about time I signed up for an account to participate in this community and this economy.

Not a great understanding of the technical aspect of BTC but I think I understand it enough to confidently use it as a currency.

Not had the chance to buy anything with BTC as of yet, i have done some trading on mtgox and BTC-e.com but find that the fees tend to be extortionate and the hoops you have to jump through to get any sort of money out of them is a PITA
