Hi! I closed my wallet after it froze and upon reopening lost my 2 blocks and 200 pascal Sad Now I can't seem to mine anything. This is the first coin I've ever tried to mine so I'm not very experienced and it was a lot of effort to set up ahaha what do?!  Huh thanks in advance

edit: also, when I reopen the application after closing I get a runtime error before it starts.

Make sure you have version 1.0.3 of the wallet.
To find your accounts, in the wallet click "explore my accounts with one of my wallet keys".
Make sure you select the key you were mining with.
If your coins don't show up with any of your keys then make sure you take preventive steps like backing up your private key!
Happy mining Smiley

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

Hello,
I am wondering if pascalcoin has an increasing difficulty for mining.
Thank you.

Yes. difficulty is adjusted every block (calculating time average of last 100 blocks) and adjusting to be 5 minutes.
So... more miners... more difficult.

But, for now, a simple 4 core CPU working 24h mines more than 5 blocks a day... more or less.

(Remember to open your 4004 port, is more easy to mine with open port!)
Increasing difficulty is confirmed if anyone wanted to know.

I edited the thread style a little bit if you want to use it Pascalcoin dev Smiley
Awesome work man!
Definitely going to make it's way to polo with some nice aesthetics  Grin

Go through the whole thread, there are people posting their mining info (including me).

got this message on 2 of 3 of my nodes
check time, time seems ok, what may happened?

14.09.2016 4:02:45 Internal message: Detected a different time in an other node... check that your PC time is correct or you will be Blacklisted! Your time: 4:02:45 - 151.80.227.24:4004 time: 16:02:41 Difference: 43196 seconds

I got a version of that message a few minutes ago. It included a similar but not identical IP address, which resolves to a location in the north of France thousands of miles from my site - namely 151.80.227.30:4004

My machine's clock was (and is) correct, the message claimed a difference of 25201 seconds.

Nice coin, btw. I hope it works out.

Edit: Update - about 17 hours later I got a similar message after a startup. IP address is different, but the claimed time difference is almost identical, about seven hours - "9/15/2016 8:49:39 AM Internal message: Detected a different time in an other node... check that your PC time is correct or you will be Blacklisted! Your time: 8:49:39 AM - 45.63.18.106:4004 time: 3:49:38 PM Difference: 25199 seconds"

Edit: Another update - got an almost identical message one hour later. Found a block during that hour though.      Wink
"9/15/2016 9:50:00 AM Internal message: Detected a different time in an other node... check that your PC time is correct or you will be Blacklisted! Your time: 9:50:00 AM - 45.63.18.106:4004 time: 4:50:00 PM Difference: 25199 seconds"

Idly wondering if this is a minor exploitable attack vector - future bad guy harvests user IP addys from system messages to himself caused by his own intentionally bad clock - when blacklisted, change addy, rinse and repeat?

Edit: One more update - a third message in the present series, all with the same IP addy. They seem to come at regular one-hour intervals.

"9/15/2016 10:50:04 AM Internal message: Detected a different time in an other node... check that your PC time is correct or you will be Blacklisted! Your time: 10:50:04 AM - 45.63.18.106:4004 time: 5:50:04 PM Difference: 25200 seconds"

Started running at 5x what I was before, still havent found a single block... or more accurately, I'm finding blocks and they arent being listed, just thrown away. Also got the same time message as everyone else

UPDATE: Took 2 days (whereas running at a fifth of the power got me 2 blocks in one day) but I finally got another block - how do I decode/save/whatever I'm supposed to do to ensure I don't lose the reward again when I close the application? Or am I not supposed to do anything and the lost 2 blocks before was just a glitch..?

another update: What I mean is I had 2 accounts with 100 pascal coins each, and all the empty accounts in between. When I reopened the application they were gone. I'm afraid to close my application now, out of fear of losing my coins again. What do I do to prevent this?

To prevent losing your coins, save the private key you used to mine it!
Your situation sounds weird, go through your private keys in your wallet and make sure it's not generating a new one every time.
Also make sure you always use the latest wallet client.

Definitely not normal, PM the dev with more details and he'll try to help you.
