I am totally agree with you. Bitcoin is a first introduced digital crypto currency based on modern technology. It has been getting more popular day by day. It has also great influence over crypto industry. It will not be so easy for other currency to take the position of the crypto currency. Because people do not think this platform without bitcoin. But our world is full of competition. Every thing is competing with each other for its existence. So, in long run other currency may take the position of bitcoin. But it will be so difficult for that coin.

Bitcoin has stayed on number one since its inception amidst the several alt coins being minted each and every day. It appears Bitcoin has no competitor but that is not the case. Bitcoin has a direct competitor on the market which is Ethereum. Anyway, it will take an incredible technology induction to the Ethereum Blockchain in order to surpass Bitcoin.

All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.

Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine).
There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Do not let the FUDsters trick your mind or the trolls try to derrail the excellent job being done by Core devs.

Let's continue then our path towards inevitable triumph.

It's nice reading discussions like this one from the past years up to present. I can tell how Bitcoin evolves in the mind of holders. There were doubts before and when 2017 hits people are changing their thought about it. Fudsters/FUDers are always there, that feeling of missing out won't dissolve as long as there is Bitcoin. And at this times where Bitcoin is ranging from 19k back to 6k, holders are in a tight grip. And your words are also my thought in this year of 2018. Bitcoin will remain as the king of all the crypto. You can observe that once the price of BTC went down, all other cryptos or mostly are also down. They depend on their king's status. No one, so far, surpasses their king. So for now, and for the years ahead, Bitcoin has no competition.

I agree with you. But for remain at first position. It is necessary to understand market's need and changes. Because need of market changing time to time. Improvement of services should continuing. Now some small coins coming in competition with Bitcoin. Now they are so far from Bitcoin. But if Bitcoin loose little faith and services then they can chase it.

In every environment there is competition, as competition is the driving force for development but the environment needs to be more healthy as well as it can take more development steps to assert its position.

I think ETH, LTC, XRP is ready to compete with bitcoin. Of course it takes a long time. Even if eventually they are not able to surpass bitcoin, bitcoin still has opponents, namely global and government regulations. Do not be too relaxed and assume bitcoin will always be on top, because there will be many obstacles for the future.

Actually, there are many altcoins have been developed to encounter bitcoin and solve the problem. But now bitcoin is still the leading as we can see in it's value. But in many ways Bitcoin still can't compete with fiat currencies and there is the space for progress.

They are just replica of bitcoin and they are just kind of shitcoin and there is no chance for them to surpass or outperformed bitcoin and that is why they are now silent and they don't have much hype to attract investors while bitcoin is still there in the top and even more popular than before because of its strong foundation in the market.

Slow transactions which can take upto an hour
High transaction fees
Internal/governance issues

If we look at Ethereum it provides faster transactions at a lower fee. Ethereum also enables wide range of application by the means of smart contracts.

I agree besides there are many competitors keep saying that their going to replace bitcoin at the top so at the beginning they planning to compete on bitcoin but as of these days there's no crypto can be called as a rival of bitcoin.
