It's not "On Iconomi Platform", It is on the Ethereum blockchain, and accessible to any platform using an Ethereum wallet. With that said; If you expect to receive dividends, you will need access to an Ethereum wallet to collect the ETH, no matter where that wallet is hosted. If you spend or transfer the tokens, the dividends for those tokens will then be distributed to the new token holder's ETH address. To be clear: The ICN themselves are associated with an Ethereum wallet address.

10 minute blocks? IF your'e lucky enough to make the first block??? You can easily swap ETH for whatever you like... and will have swipe & atm access with a visa debit card... so I see no advantage using Bitcoin here.

That's not true. The trading profit potential is 100% dependant on bringing in new ICN token and fund buy-ins.

When you login on this site https://www.iconomi.net/  you can store ETH on your wallet, so surely you can Transfer/leave your Tokens there and get dividends? I am sure I read somewhere you can do that? Or am I mixed up? Consider a lot of their future clients will be new to Crypto as well.

IMHO Bounties between now and a week after launching on exchanges should carry a 50% bonus. This is the period in which demand needs created beyond the original participants to avoid any drippage when we hit the exchanges.
This period is your only chance to create any defense against ico dumpers.

Another easier option would be to use the cold storage method you outlined, with funds divided into 10 different addresses.  Then it would be possible to bring 1/10 of the ICN online, while the other 9/10 is remaining offline in cold storage.  However, iconomi will most likely make us withdraw the entire amount to a single ETH address

You and I have reached exactly the same conclusion.  And it scares me, because even 1 /20 th of my pile is way more than I want to expose online.  We may have to cobble together the best security we can with the tools available, because a truly easy, secure and reliable wallet system does not seem to exist yet.  

Asking 3500 people to download the entire ETH blockchain in Mist to get their coins seems like a bad idea here, particularly given the low level of experience we are seeing in these posts.  And I'm pointing at myself when I say that.

I want to make sure I have full access to my dividends, and no monkey business; I downloaded Mist as soon as it was determined ICN was an ETH token and would be issuing dividends in ETH, it just makes sense.
AND...  I have too much invested to not care about the ETH ecosystem.    I'm probably the only ETH node in Hawaii
