I'm a computer science PhD student @ USC and I've been following Bitcoin for awhile. I'm also an electrical engineer looking to coordinate with people on the group buy for Avalon ASICs, so getting out of the newbie jungle would help.
Google my user name for verification of the above...
thanks!

Hi, i would like to be allowed into the rest of the forum. The reason for this is that i would like to try to buy a few bitcoins using options(neteller/poker sites) not provided on any exchanges that i know of. I have been lurking here for a while and got a decent enough knowledge of how the bitcoin protocol works. I have also been doing trades using bitcoin before. I could ofc do a few meaningless posts and press f5 for a few hours but this seems slightly easier Thanks in advance.

I'm a software developper and I'm quiet fascinated about bitcoin. I have started my own mining rig 5950 HD weeks ago for litecoin and read a lot on this forum to get me started. Having 10 worthless NVIDIA card laying around is anoying so I was starting to think that maybe there is something I can do about it and just found someone already started the work and I wanted to help on that. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0Thanks

I've been following btc on/off for some time (that's partly why this account dates back to 2011 after first bubble), recently I'm spending time tracking moody and other charts as I'm trying to move my income from somewhat established virtual micro-economy of teamfortress2 and stick with them for the ride. Thanks.

Joined back in 2011, but never post. Stuck here in newbie hell =/ Can you admit me past these pearly gates?
I only logged in because I specifically wanted to post in a topic, but found myself unable to.

Have spent the last two days lurking and even purchase the following equipment:
Corsair AX1200i Cooler Master HAF XM MSI R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC (delivery next week)
Now I just need opinions on the motherboard. Thinking of using a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 since it supports 4 GPUs but am not sure...
Thanks for the whitelist!

Hello, and my story.
I CPU mined BitCoin in late 2009 for about a week before my best ideal ever, i'll upgrade to Windows 7 64bit. After booting from the install DVD it occurred to me, 'uh oh, i'll loose those coins in mined. Well, those can't be worth anything, I only ran my system for a few days". After completing the install I downloaded the Bitcoin client but it wasn't 64bit compatible so I couldn't mine. "Not 64bit compatible... this Bitcoin thing isn't going to last", and that was the last I thought I'd ever see of Bitcoin.
I'm currently running Data recovery and Bitcoin Wallet recovery tools from these forums on every hard drive I have. LOL
White list Please
Thanks,
|

I work for a rather larger software company (one of the largest worldwide) and now doing research into crypto currencies. There may be interest in supporting wallet technologies more closely within our platforms, depending on what we learn about the surrounding technologies.
I have a rig mining Ltc right now, and looking to build one for Btc in the next several weeks.
The forums are extremely informative - would like to post some technical questions in a couple of them to start a dialogue around software support from platforms (mobile and server-side).
Thanks,
@DeveloperFish
