Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.

I oppose to this idea since this generation that teenagers or children are more exposed to technologies and gadgets. I guess its not that hard for the millennials to comprehend bitcoin. Lets say for example in minecraft, 90% of the players range from ages 6-18 years old so its really not hard for teens not to understand or know bitcoin especially that they are now exposed to modern technologies.

Technologies and gadgets are far too different in technicalities and economic aspect of Bitcoin.  I bet you yourself is kinda confused on how Bitcoin works or even the programs behind Bitcoin. It's economic effect and why it cannot be approved by SEC at this moment.  Bitcoin is not a gadget, rather a currency and a trading stocks at the same time.  Kids will have a difficulty knowing that, but possibly they can grasp on how to send and accept it.

Kids don't need to study what are the tech terms or tech things behind bitcoin because those things will not help them in understanding bitcoin, I think it is enough for the kids to know how to use bitcoin like how to make transactions by sending and receiving bitcoin and also what are the advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin and that will be enough for just getting started like of person and then the rest is let them discover.

children doesn't need to know about currency, but teenagers does, and i think there's so many explanation video in youtube so don't wasting effort wasting your time when you can just give them about the link of video so they can learn from it,whether they will be interested or not,it's definitely depend on them

Yes, I definitely agree with you. It should be their headache that either they want to learn or not about bitcoin. As the modern technology has been increased too much now a days, so all things can be gained from the source of internet. Bitcoin is a source of income. So, it is not needed for the children to learn about bitcoin in that age. Because they don't need to earn money.

After reading the higher comments, I was surprised that a person is sure that 90% of players with age from 6 to 18 years. And is not the age of the child who is familiar with bitcoin too understated? From 6 to 11 at least no one thinks about bitcoin and will not be able to understand what's what. With a few exceptions. Of course.

bitcoin is not actually a source of income it is not a job but a digital currency we don't have to be worried if they are interested to know bitcoin, we can guide them to learn all the details and information regarding to it but we don't have to guide and teach them about how they can earn it, it is indeed that at that age they have to learn how to earn because their focus and their time would be only dedicated on that activity .

I'm just making them be familiarize with the features of bitcoin, and with that, it will be easy for them to understand the advantage of using bitcoin.

You are wrong teenagers can easily learn bitcoin and how it works. To prove it to you the individuals who taught me a 32 yr old adult were teenagers. They aged 15 to 19 years old and they are earning 1 to 2 bitcoin monthly. They are helping their family to buy food and pay bills and they also pay their own tuition fees. Now tell me teenagers doesnt need money, its only a mindset  of rich people.

I know, I am just stating a fact between gadgets and bitcoin tech being difference.  But I would rather have my kids to study hard than earning BTC thru games.  They will have a better future preparing themselves to have a decent job and or have a full scholarship when they are in Universities than waste their time earning BTC and neglect their studies.

although bitcoin is a currency no doubt about this. but currency bitcoin can be use as currency in a very little places, specially in such area where the users of bitcoin are not too much. but as the price of bitcoin is continuously increasing therefore people are using it as investment, and they are making good profit from it. therefore for me the teenagers and children do not need to learn about bitcoin. and time will come then then they will know about bitcoin in a little time.

Bitcoin is difficult for beginners to understand and also to explain. Yet, you need to know all the details about it. Children doesn't need to know about bitcoin because they all know for now is to play, but teenagers does. I'll tell them the advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin and I'll them how it works and how to manage the bitcoin. There are many explanation about bitcoin in youtube so that, you don't need to explain all of it just give them the link.

I don't think teenagers necessarily "need" to know about bitcoins. Keep in mind that there are also other side income that you can do except for bitcoins. How do you think the people before bitcoin earn money as a student? They go serve in the cashier or wash the dishes in some low-end restaurants. Anything that doesn't require a diploma or any higher education.

Since almost everything is now available on the Internet, you simply have to introduce bitcoins to the people that you want to teach about bitcoins and they can do the rest if they're eager enough to learn.

As long the person does know internet and knows how to search then its not really hard to speak to them about bitcoin because all of the informations about bitcoin is on the net and as a person they are obliged to their own actions if they are eager to earn money then they should do such action without the need of  the point of spoon feeding to them.

In simple words you can that

Bitcoin is like real money.

If you have bitcoin, you can buy stuff with it.

Most stores only take real money and credit cards. But some stores also take bitcoin.

At these special stores, you can use bitcoin to buy what you want, like ice cream. You don't have to use money or credit cards to buy ice cream. You can use bitcoin.

Each bitcon is like a dollar bill in some ways.

Like each dollar bill, each bitcoin has a unique number or i.d.

Like a dollar bill, you know when you give your bitcoin to the store.

Like a dollar bill, no one except the store and you know that you are paying for ice cream with that bitcoin.

But unlike a dollar bill, anyone with a computer and the I.D. of the bitcoin knows that bitcoin was used and moved from one person to another.

They just don't know who you are or who the store is.

Because anyone can follow a bitcoin by I.D. numbers, bitcoin can be a good way to keep track of things like purchases. It's like a receipt that everyone can see. They know something happened and bitcoin moved. But they don't know who moved it. Or who got it.

Bitcoin can do things real money can not.

"What makes [bitcoin] different is bitcoin can also be the agreement between people. In other words, we make an agreement that says: "Give Billy one bitcoin only after he cleans his room". Once your room is clean, and both of us agree that your room is clean, one bitcoin will automatically go to you.

Explaining bitcoin to anyone who is interested about it is very hard. How much more when it comes to those who lacks interest about bitcoin. The thing is many children doesn't have a single idea about bitcoin. i have also noticed that same with you, 90% and above of the youth population in our country doesn't even know a single detail about bitcoin.

But, there's always a solution into any problem. Somehow it needs us to raise awareness about the facts and benefits of using bitcoin. Aside from that, as I started familiarizing myself into bitcoin, I find it hard where and how to start.

Your personal experience with bitcoin will help a lot in explaining.

I think you got it all wrong a person who is interested with Bitcoin will have a better understanding or development when it comes to learning Bitcoin compared to those people who are not interested at all. Also what do you expect from kids not knowing about Bitcoin? It is natural do you expect kids understanding Calculus at their young age? Of course not. They are still kids I don't think they need to handle a new kind of currency at such a young age.

simply by explaining regrding digital currency and then regarding regulations and evolvement

For early explanation, they should be known that bitcoin is like money and can be complement as investation.
It will be better for explain from easier part rather than technical part. If they more interest on bitcoin, then you can explain bitcoin more depth

Teenagers shouldn't be hard to explain to, if they have interest in these kinds of things though (The same for adults, you wouldn't get anything if they have no interest in technology or payment systems)
Children would be difficult to explain to if they are particularly young IMO.
