I'm apparently an idiot, I can't get it to work.

a) Only P2PKH addresses are supported

is the error I get when I add my electrum address to the chatbot

b) in Electrum, when I try to sign the address, no signature is generated. Using 2.7.12

c) I thought I'd just pay, but it wasn't accepted as it is a dust payment...

I just used the adress listed (I only use one) in the Adresses tab.

Then I went to the Adresses tab in Electrum, right clicked my adress, then Sign/Verify Message, filled in my Byteball address as the message, clicked Sign, then copy/pasted the signature to the bot.

No... I've more or less 25 linked addresses... so... I don't think that it means 16000 people... but despite this I think it is a hugh bunch of people

A bit related, but does the full backup option save the black bytes too?
If I do a full backup, then get more black bytes, but don't update my backup, are my black bytes still there?
Do I have to keep an updated backup somehow?

Yes, everytime you get new blackbytes you have to backup.

No need to transfer, just keep it on the same address, it stays linked forever.

One question...

I have two computer and I share one byteball account in both computers... I can share my Gb without problem but I can't see my blackbites... I have an amount of blackbites in one computer but the same account in the other computer said that I have 0 Blackbites...

Any ideas?

Running multiple identical wallets from a backup can lead to data corruption and loss of coins!
If you restore from a wallet to a new device you better stop using the old one.

Its because coins starting from 3 are vanity addresses...

but you can easily create a electrum wallet move it there, just depends on if you want it or not, no pressure = ) )))

Bitcoin addresses starting with 3 are script-hash addresses, see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Pay_to_script_hash.

Usually this kind of addresses is used for multi-signature.

What happens when the byteballs run dry?  I know they said 2% will be held back, is there going to be a mining process or will mining completely rely on transactions taking place?  Anyone starting a poker room for blackbytes? Or maybe Nitrogen Sports can launch a black bytes betting market??

Does anybody know how to install byteball on ubuntu??  

1. Download app for Linux
2. Extract
3. open terminal in extracted folder byteball-linux64
4. in terminal run command ./Byteball
5. installation GUI will pop up
6. Accept terms
7. Choose lightweight or full node (I recommend lightweight)
8. Done

I got to 4 but when I type ./Byteball nothing happens. No errors, just nothing. Can anyone help?

No. You need to have the BTC in place (in linked addresses) until after the airdrop. After that you can move them freely.
