So I backed up my wallet on an older PC, then installed on a new PC and restored the wallet there. Deleted on the older PC. I didn't receive any Byteballs this round, even though my BTC were previously linked on the older PC. Is this normal?
No. What's the BTC or Byteball account you had linked so we can check it? I'll give you the info this evening, I'm at work right now. No problem. It's likely that you moved your BTC or that your wallet isn't synced yet when you looked. If you post the address in the channel, then anyone can really look it up for you. I just might go a step further.

Distribution of bytes was finished several hours ago.
Total distributed: 66,208.049453060 GB. New circulating supply: 255,491.918951297 GB (already updated on coinmarketcap).
The distributed amount is worth $47m at the current price.
Distribution of blackbytes is still under way, I'll post when it is finished.
Distribution of blackbytes is now finished too. 127,513.125794221 GBB distributed 12,258.687406134 GBB added to the community fund https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1foYdri-vadnq8Kbr51QVhBlXiswHtiDpaShVaWO060sThe next distribution is scheduled for the full moon of July: July 9, 2017 at 04:07 UTC, the rules stay the same: BTC to bytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 62.5 MB (0.0625 GB) BTC to blackbytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 2.1111 * 62.5 million blackbytes (money supply of blackbytes is 2.1111 times more than that of bytes) Bytes to bytes: 1 byte on any Byteball address gives you 0.2 new bytes Bytes to blackbytes: 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.42222 blackbytes Putting this another way, to receive 1 GB from the distribution, you need to already hold 16 BTC or 5 GB. These same holdings also give you 2.1111 GBB (giga-blackbyte). How many transaction has you solved? Kind Regards Christian

So a little late to the party, but then again I'm a philanthropic ideological hippie commie rat so, hell might just be me. This is what I care for when it comes to cryptocurrency, to see something go beyond plain greed and abuse of power.
So yea, read the white paper here, finally, read a bunch of posts but eh... Fair distribution? A huge amount of bitcoin is held by a few moguls, it's not even close to fairly distributed, and will see quite a few more powerplays by those strong hands, both in BTC and other poisoned crypto wells.
What I am saying is, how is giving more shit to people who already own shit to be seen as a fair distribution?
Maybe it's a logistics call, how to bring a coin into this world without it ending up in that very same treasure chest. But be as it may, I think it is rather important to acknowledge the relativity of this 'fair distribution'.
Other than this, great coin and I wish it well (in the beggars hands)
you admitted in your entering sentence that you are a communist. you have just answered your concerns regarding "fair" distribution. it appears that fairness is a subjective term especially if there is an anarchocapitalist on the one side and a statist communist on the other side of the argument. those few moguls you are referring to are successful and smart people who took the enormous risk when BTC was cheap. they should be rewarded for their risk respectively. but you, on the other hand, have a statist way of thinking where the state would take their share of everyone's profits without taking any risk (taxes). so in your fantasy land people should be rewarded for having taken zero risk, right? yep, communist statist detected. please don't turn into a violent hypocrite who puts on a mask and then sneakily hits people with a bike lock for having a different opinion while being employed as an ethics professor in a university.

By the way anybody is free to fork Byteball and launch CommunistBall if he wants, it would be very ironic since communists have no ballz

I created #3rd_party_testing channel on Slack. Join it if you are willing to help. First I'm going to issue a lot of transactions at once to see how the DAG will look. Taking into account that Byteball is still WIP I need helpers to report on that channel if something goes wrong. In that case we'll stop the test and resume after the devs fix the issue.

Is FUD really all you can do? Pay up the 8Gb, Ill not lift a pinky finger for you unless you pay the the bet you lost, looser. You are confusing your own shit project, it is a wip/alpha/promise/vaporware. Byteball has been in production for many months. Come-From-Beyond is a scammer and a FUD-spreading scumbag.

I personaly agree with this way to proceed. Better detect and fix a potential issue now than later (no doubt the network will be under attack one day in the future). I have joined the channel.

Of course, there's not a lot of more value to most software projects (and crypto related particularly) than white hat hackers. But, of course, an angry little kid like SatoNatomato who "came here to pick a library" for his school project wouldn't know that. If I was invested in Byteball I would embrace CfB's testing.

Dumbass youre just buying into his FUD. He has no "potential attack", he is not a " white hat hacker". His "attack" would be him paying bytes to make transactions or store mp3s as messages in Byteball. What he plans to do is using Byteball and expecting it to break. Oh wow, such a hack. I told him to go on do it, and he got stuck on finding source code! You see its all FUD, just a way so he can continue appearing threatening and insinuating that Byteball has some weakness. When in reality he cant even find source-code of an open source project Further, there is no way to say after his attempted attack that it failed, he would just say he has to try harder or send more or think of more FUD. He would never admit he is wrong, you can see that in this thread when increase means decrease for him. You suck ByteFan and your witness sucks, you should not encourage FUD. Btw Byteball has its white hat hackers who dont make a fuss of what they found and responsibly fix liqiq, remember the security releases we had?

You probably overlooked that post, I quote it specially for you: Let's recall how it was: As I said you are a clinical case but if you are willing to put your money where your mouth is - let's do it. So?
I dont want your scam money

I'm looking to sell ~8 GB and ~12 GBB...
Anyone else, take the "discounted" GB and GBB, or CfB donate them to the community fund. I got my own money and dont need yours.
So what do we all see here? That SatoNatomato lies by deliberately misinterpreting quotes. PS: I suggest everyone not partnering with SatoNatomato, you will never recover your reputation after that.

Judging by general tone of your message you are about to agree with my assumption that once Byteball gets world-wide adoption and GB price rises we'll see most of people caring about fees and hence publishing mostly high-entropy data. Which in turn will lead to very low copression ratio of Byteball DB. I think we can omit this testing scenario if you post that you agree. When in reality he cant even find source-code of an open source project
I believe I could find it, just wanted to save my time, this is why I asked you for help. Further, there is no way to say after his attempted attack that it failed, he would just say he has to try harder or send more or think of more FUD. He would never admit he is wrong, you can see that in this thread when increase means decrease for him.
This is a valid point, but it can be solved easily. All we need is the devs to come here and say what max TPS Byteball can process without "breaking". I will either agree on that number or test it in practice. Let's wait for the dev's reply. If they don't give it then I'll be gradually increasing TPS and reporting progress here and on the slack. I'll stop when I run out of GBs.

It's obvious that logic is not the strongest of your qualities, but I'll try to explain it once again: 1. I questioned validity of some whitepaper points. 2. You referred to one of the points claiming it's a "proof". Think of this, take all the time you need. I hope you'll see where your "logic" failed.
