It is not made for that, its not designed to be Turing complete like EVM is, so probably sometime later rather than sooner, someone will anyway do it as a joke.

Turing-completeness imposes a cost on every node, for little gain towards the goal of Byteball - human-readable smart contracts.

Thanks for the Rolex two tone this month, Tony. Didn't sold them, because they will be much more worth in future, but took some of my btc stash for it Smiley

I am very surprised that the coin which is distributed free has such high price at the exchange  Shocked

How so.  People believe in the project, so they buy more than what's being sold.  So, the supply is less than the demand.

Just think, if you could buy $100 from a bank knowing you would get a 20% gain = $120.  Wouldn't you be buying the special $100 bill from the bank?

So, people are buying for the purpose of getting even a bigger bonus each distribution.  It's also the reason most people hold the byteballs instead of dumping.  Of course, people that just want to get free money dump them causing the price to sink right after the distribution which means I get more for a cheaper price right after the distribution.

No, if you don't move coins, then you don't need to do anything.

Can I move my bytes to a new wallet now and still get my blackbyte bonus ?

Yes.  Remember to move both types of balls to your new wallet.  Or, simply don't move them at all unless there is a specific reason.

So If I moved the byteball coins to Bittrex from my registered btc address, then I won't get byteball in the next distribution? so it is necessary to do a new registration of the same btc wallet that was used/registered before?

edit:  (below is related to bitcoin address as I first misread your question)
Correct.  You don't get any byteball from a BTC address that has a 0 (zero) balance.  0 x 0.0625 = 0
You will get the 20% bonus to your account for the byteball you have though.

No, it is not necessary to do a new registration if you simply move your bitcoin back to the registered bitcoin address.  Just make sure you move it in time so that the coins are confirmed prior to the distribution.  I have confirmed with 100% certainty that an address with unconfirmed coins do not byteball which is a good thing.  (Just imagine how many people would try double spends to a bunch of addresses trying to get double byteball.)

update to my response after I realized what you were asking....
Just realized you asked about moving your byteball from the registered address.....
Byteball (as far as I understand it) are all getting the bonus - not simply the ones in the registered 'bitcoin' linked accounts.

Hi,  I got byteballs airdropped to my linked address, but as of today (june 11), I have not received any blackbytes.  Any reason for this? Others have had same experience? thank you

Now  if you want any more bets with me, looser, send 8GB to XYVFSRDBFNQ66P7ZQK5YRNZZA2JFUOGD

I'm looking to sell ~8 GB...

Excuse my stupidity, but the leap from me selling 8 GB to your claiming it was a bet is too large to me. Could you split your chain of thoughts into more logical steps?

Refuted, in exhibit A) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg18229081#msg18229081 by quote from whitepaper.

BTW, this reminded me one of the unanswered questions: Was the whitepaper peer-reviewed?

1 billion black bytes = around 0.04 GB

Each user is allowed to make 1 change of the 12 witnesses.  Kiss

The topic has been discussed in this thread and the Whitepaper is a very good source. You should read it. And cry, that your own design is so complicated and shitty compared to this.

As I said you are a clinical case but if you are willing to put your money where your mouth is - let's do it. So?

And also right after being rekt,

I'm looking to sell ~8 GB and ~12 GBB, if anyone has bitcoins on ydx.slack.com then I can set ASK orders at 3 microBTC per 1 MB(B), it's with 25% discount comparing to the market price, if I'm not mistaken. Or I can send an invite, I'll need your email for that. All trades are escrowed by Yassin on that Slack. Read the rules on http://iotasupport.com/buyingiotaotc.shtml, most important part is that he charges 1% for deposits/withdrawals.

SatoNatomato, time to show your loyalty, it's very cheap GBs for you.

EDIT: I miscalculated, it's 33% discount.

Not only are you the "clinical case", but also a bad looser.

The problem is that you get 20% more, but the total amount in circulation is also much higher. That means that the price could easily fall by 20% or more, so you actually end up with a lower Bitcoin value by holding, than if you sold at a higher price.

Right now the price is holding up quite nicely, it remains to be seen how long that lasts though.
You still get the next air drop either way, if you sell or don't sell, the difference is just 20% vs price volatility risk.

Who knows the price might rise, then the holders will get a double whammy!

I must say that this is by far the most interesting project that I've stumbled across, and isn't related in any way with Ethereum.

I would like to exchange 8 GBB for 1 GB. If you are interested, write me a private message.

You could also see my exchange request here on Altcoin marketplace.

Let's recall how it was:

Anyone else, take the "discounted" GB and GBB, or CfB donate them to the community fund. I got my own money and dont need yours.

So what do we all see here? That SatoNatomato lies by deliberately misinterpreting quotes.

PS: I suggest everyone not partnering with SatoNatomato, you will never recover your reputation after that.
