Your opinion on recreational drug use

As you can see in the subject, what is your opinion on a recreational use of drugs? So far I've noticed that guys that do drugs like mdma, ecstasy, cocaine, weed(if you consider it a drug, I don't tho) are lowlifes that are in the setting of "Let's get wasted, party and then do some more drugs" and nothing else but they always look at themselves as something higher than the others.

What is your opinion on that and is it the same at your place?

Recreational is fine (although I myself haven't consumed any so far), it becomes a problem when the use has an escapist background. Also, drugs are only addictive if their use offers a 'better' reality, MDMA and LSD for example are very situational drugs therefore rarely addictive (besides, everything can become an addiction).
Weed and other opiates should be seen as a temporary stimulant/relief, it becomes a problem when their use becomes highly regular. One should find the source of their stress instead of trying to ignore it.

But seriously if you've tried marijuana as an adult in a non hostile setting, I have concerns about a person's disposition and psychological state, if you didn't at like it at all. I get the experience being a bit much the first few times, but with the proper scene, that's half the fun.

Medical marijuana will be largely legal in the next five years or so. It will take another decade, however, to see recreational legal across the board.

We would need to do more to keep it from the kids, though. It's pretty strong now (I say this as a person very, very knowledgeable of the current state of marijuana genetics). It's a serious demotivator in youth/young adults,/they should regulate it just like alcohol. The new vape technology isn't helping; it's getting easier and stealthier to light up. If we can keep the kids away, then full steam ahead with legalization.

Weed is not like the other drugs.

You can fuck yourself up while smoking weed as much as you can do it while smoking regular cigarettes or drinking alcohol. Weed is nowhere harder than those two. (actually alcohol and cigarettes are worse than weed) I don't have any experience with cocaine but i know you can also fuck yourself up easily if you overdose it. All the others like meth, heroin, ex etc are complete shit. You should never ever do any of them.

I am not a weed addict, i smoke 2-3 times a year and i've seen weed addicts as i've seen social smokers like me. It all depends on your personality in the end. If someone is retarded enough, he can even destroy himself by getting addicted to tea.

I'm against doing drugs in general, but then again I can't tell people what to do. If people want to be junkies let them be junkies, however when drug use starts getting glorified on the street and in the media that's when I draw the line. Just go do your drugs man, don't try to make it look cool.

One girl that I knew used to sit at home all day smoking weed, but it was her way of dealing with the world. Depression, mood swings and such.

You need to realize that it is the people, and not the drugs who are responsible for the crimes. Anyway, the number of crimes under the influence of drugs are much less than those under the influence of alcohol.
