interesting,another choice beside zcssh。

let's just hope the dev can deliver... there are many zcash alternatives, komodo launched a while back, shadow seems to be going strong as well and just yesterday wrapper was announced.

Wrapper and komodo are both scams.

You can't know that. Im in komodo, im in zcoin will be in wrapper since it seems like it will have good tech.

Just bc u praise one coin it doesnt mean you cant hold others

Komodo dev took btcd ico money and strung the community out for 2 years.  Wrapper devs are anon and hosting an ico during the zcash hype for an undeveloped product (whitepaper won't even be released until December).  Have fun with that.  Cheesy

Agree to disagree. Have fun FUDing other projects.

Hard to disagree with facts.  Keep drinking the koolaide, but don't try to lead others down the rabbit hole with you.  Makes you just as bad as the scammer.

Can anyone here please answer me a Q regarding Zcash?

If I have Z H/s, how much zcash will it mine per day (for first 34 days and after that), assuming Global Network Hash Power = G H/s? Any formula or equation?

5760 new coins per day...

take your hashrate divided by network hashrate and multiply it by 5760

It's not "bad" per say, but it's not the best either.

At this point, it's difficult to compete from our desktops.  Server farms are ruling the scene.

5760 new coins per day...
Is it the number from December 1, 2016? Is the founder's reward not considered here? What would be the coin generation per day from October 28, 2016 to November 30, 2016?

take your hashrate divided by network hashrate and multiply it by 5760
Is there any way to know the network hashrate? I mean any website or something?

There are only two exchanges at the moment? Is there any forecast Polo add Zcoin? I do not trust the current two exchanges  Huh

cryptopia is smaller but very trustworthy exchange.

I can't vouch for the other as I have never used them.

I once had a good feeling about Cryptopia as well. Now I don't trust them any longer, since they delisted some coins and banned users without giving any reason (and also being very rude).

Cryptopia guys are indeed very rude and unmannered. The one called 'hex' could be characterized as an asshole, in simple terms.
However exchange is legit, and they are trying to build a good environment. I trust that exchange, to be honest. The only problem with them - is the behaviour of owners, who enjoy being the "rulers" of the place, feeling themselves 'emperors' of their own small handmade empire  Grin

small question regarding the wallet: every time i start it it keeps "reindexing blocks" starting from block 0 till current block, this process takes quite some time. i have not seen this in other wallets from different coins, is this true for everybody, or is it just me (tried with windows and linux)? seems rather odd to have to wait for every block ever created to be processed each time the wallet is started.

same here..

Wallet seems to be stuck on block 2625 here.

Very frustrating.

I encountered no problem so far when i compiled mine.

use dev branch.
git clone -b dev https://github.com/zcoinofficial/zcoin.git

ill try that, lets hope the best Cheesy

The devs warned us not to compile from the dev branch. I guess we just have to wait....

What sort of warning he gave? This build does not reindex but i do notice when it fetches new block and scryptminer initiates, shows the hashmeter, then after that shows zero hash when you call gethashespersec. I do wonder if the cpuminer can be pointed to the wallet? any ideas felix?

can confirm current dev branch does not reindex, i suppose this patch will be included in the next regular release

Yes:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1638450.msg16569655#msg16569655

But it's not recommended to use this version.
You should wait until it's in the master branch.

Plus:
the qt wallet is still reindexing from scratch.....
