Any people seriously want to be delegate and helping Ark community is possible, all they need is to be active with Ark communities. I see these active delegates do make serious money if they're serious engaging with Ark. I agree and approved people that voted out arkland including myself, he's needed to prove something before I want to vote for him again, he's been missing for a long time and don't want to reply to any contact. Also his node is below 99%. I only vote for nodes over 99%, if you're below 99% you don't deserve my vote. Simple as that.

Hey there, ARKLand here

First and foremost, I'd like to say Arkland was never all about the money, my focus has always been community. I was the second delegate to introduce free transactions to all my voters, one of the first delegates to reimburse all votes, and the second delegate to forge my own payment transactions so there was less Ark wasted on transaction fees, and more Ark to distribute to my voters.. while paying daily for any balance above 0.01 Ark, while most other delegates paid weekly. I always covered missed blocks so my voters, most times my voters didn't even noticed that blocks were missed. My share has always been 92%, despite many delegates having shares of 80%, and even lower now. I've increased the share to 100% as an incentive, and an attempt to attract more voters to help me get back to the top 51.

After I've dropped, I've already made two contributions to the community:

[ Improving ARK's snapshot distribution — faster rebuilds, less downtime ] - https://medium.com/@ArkLand/database-snapshots-are-very-present-in-ark-both-delegates-and-relay-nodes-rely-on-them-on-a-9f291661e96b

[ Introducing: ArkLand Calculator v1 ] https://medium.com/@ArkLand/introducing-arkland-calculator-v1-b1ee3647796

Both with very good feedback by the community.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ArkDelegates/comments/8qayaf/arkland_were_covering_the_missed_blocks_from/

I've been awarded bounties for github contributions, helped newcomers on Slack and Twitter, reported and fixed bugs. It saddens me when I read you say that Arkland is all about the money, when I've contributed so much to the community, and still have so many projects that I would like to work on. It's not hard to find other community delegates that have a smaller voter profit share than me, and haven't contributed as much to the ecosystem.

I have always put my voters ahead and did my best to ensure voters would get the most rewards, and I'm sharing 100% for this month because I think about my voters, I still have 500+ wallets that are voting for me, and I don't want them to lose their staking rewards for being loyal to Arkland. 100% share is a thank you for sticking your vote with me, and to cover up the missed staking rewards for the time I've been out.

My node may have fallen bellow 99%, but my voters didn't miss their staking rewards. The Ark network hasn't been stable and that contributed to missing blocks. As you can see on this announcement https://www.reddit.com/r/ArkDelegates/comments/8qayaf/arkland_were_covering_the_missed_blocks_from/ , I covered 276 Ark was was missed due to the node being forked. This has been repeated multiple times, including during the last network outages. This is a function that's built in on my voter's panel. And by the way, when I was voted out, my uptime was 99.05% on the official explorer, so there's that Tongue

Yeah I'm the raffle tickets guy haha! I'm actually working on my Thanksgiving raffle right now, and there will be a Christmas and New Year's raffle as well, just like last year! The community always loved these Cheesy I have it on my roadmap to make a new Ark raffles site that will start new monthly raffles automatically, but these will have smaller prizes. Then for events like v2 release on the mainnet, Christmas, New Years etc, they would have a bigger prize pot Cheesy All using the Ark blockchain, of course Smiley

> I will start you off with 200 Ark with your next raffle

Man that's exciting!!!  I'll PM you once I have the Thanksgiving raffle set up, if you don't mind! Thanks!!

Hello.

Is it possible to vote by using the web lite wallet or
I need to use the Desktop wallet?

If a desktop wallet is used does it need to download (sync) the whole blockchain locally
or it just connects to a remote node (delegate) and is ready to go?!

Thanks.

You don't need to download the whole blockchain don't worry! And yes,  You Can vote with the lite wallet,  it's basically the same as the desktop's wallet

Unfortunately you cannot vote with Web Lite Wallet. You'd either need to download ARK Desktop Wallet or ARK Mobile wallet and vote from there.

This are light clients so you don't need to download and sync blockchains, connection to peer is instant and you can immediately start interacting with the ARK blockchain (aka sending, voting, ... ).

Ark V2 end to end automated testing and challenges are well explained in the recent update. Since it was stated framework is custom build specially for the upcoming version that's why it must be tested both manually and automatically. It is good every night testing will be done to accelerate the procedure. It is understandable after doing so much hard work now team can't throw unfinished product in market. They need to test everything by every angle and aspect as there is no second chance, better do it now well.
