I think this is nonsense. Why is it necessary? That's the beauty of bitcoin is that even keeping it at home, you can be sure in safety and enjoy all its benefits.

Without bank we will be more secure as we do not need to give our information to the bank and entrust it to them, the reason why we are using bitcoin is because we have to achieve a complete freedom and we can keep our private information our self. When you put your bitcoin in a bank, of course that is going to be subject for the rules and you have to comply when you violated they have the right to freeze your account which is going to be our nightmare. |

Bank is a term that implies someone else will manage your money. I think that's irrelevant in Bitcoin because each person still handles every transaction themselves. I think the concept of a bitcoin SERVICES bank will be awesome. Imagine a place where you can get a loan based on Bitcoin income in the same stop as the place where you could convert btc into other currencies, and a place you could invest in a mining pool. All in one place. While it isn't a bank, it is a similar operation minus the centralized hand of power.
you have your point i think thats right if there is a bank for bitcoin the transaction also may become not totally worst but lets just see the positive that might happenif there should be a bank for bitcoin. maybe i may agree with that this idea cant be good and not may work for a good reason. |

Threat of Cyber attacks are increasing every year. Since we are now in a digital era, the safety of our cryptocurrencies should be taken seriously. Not all of us are knowledgeable on how to safekeep their coins, but even you knew some wants that a third party may do the safekeeping. Me also, I want others that will safe keep my coins. That is why I want Bitcoin bank.

Yeah, we can hold our Bitcoin and use it for loans through loans services or some exchanges support it. Of course, I know the risk of cryptocurrency always higher than banking system, but I do not want to put my money into any place, because it means I support Bitcoin become centralization. thats right, if you support bitcoin bank it will be the same you support with the centralized system, because basically the bank uses that system, when you use bitcoin bank there will be rules you have to obey and of course you will not be free anymore because your bitcoin is also controlled by them, one of the bitcoin bank's advantages is you can borrow money on there and earn interest for your savings, otherwise I do not see anything else that special ? |

For me bitcoin in bank is safe way to store because if your bitcoin is in your wallet...there is a potential it may be hack...bank have a securety technology that is very difficult to hack..so i think bitcoin in back is more safer than atore in your wallet

For me, it is not a good idea to use bitcoin bank because it will become more prone to hackers. If most of the bitcoiners use this bank, many bitcoins will be collected by the bank and that bank will be the one that hackers will hack and if hackers hacked that bank, all of our bitcoin might lost.

It would not make much sense, since you would not be enjoying the best features Bitcoin has to offer, but some people like to rely on third parties to manage part of their funds. In that case, it is understandable that some people like this idea.

I agreed with you bitcoin bank is doesnt need anymore it does not make sense since we already using bitcoin wallet where we can stock them and better to use bank if the price of bitcoin is not changing every week and ofcourse the bank will gain profit because you stocking the bitcoin there and they will turn that into fiat thing |

Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.
Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.
Yes I agree with the idea of having bitcoin bank. Because bitcoin has been helpful to many people and I believe that many people will support if time will come that bitcoin bank will be possible.Bitcoin has changed many lives and has been an aid on providing the financial needs of those in need. |

Yes, even Hal Finney predicted in this very forum that there would be Bitcoin Banks someday. However, they will not be like banks today. No fractional reserve lending. If they want to loan out money, they have to have it on deposit from someone else.

I don't like the idea of having that Bitcoin Bank that will allow to handle my bitcoin. I will not let others do it for me. I would choose to keep it on my own goog or converted it into fiat that let someone keep and monitor my bitcoin. |

And that will be possible but in my opinion it's not going to happen, bitcoin will be bitcoin and banks will be banks. If that will happen then everything in this world will be on digital, people will be working at their homes or companies that are more focused with crypto's. I wonder on how much they are going to put with the interest if I'm going to deposit some bitcoin there. |

A Bitcoin bank is the exact opposite of what Bitcoin was created for... Bitcoin was specifically created to stop centralized banks. And with the technology behind it a bank isn't required either.
I'm surprised that the fresh blood doesn't seem to have any understanding of Bitcoin's purpose...
