I see not a lot has changed with this exchange
yeah . still no problems on my side. looks like there are some issues with shitcoins abandoned by their devs, but i have had no major problems with old coins.
cryptopia should be more strict about adding new coins though. it looks like they will add anything upon paying listing fee.
But people should be aware that almost all new coins, forks, and icos are scam schemes anyway and most will be abandoned sooner or later;

Yes, Cryptopia will accept new coins once they will pay entrance fee and of course some standard rules on crypto exchanges like a reliable network. What differs in Cryptopia is I never heard them delisting coins even if they have very low volumes unless there is a proven attack or when the coin is technically unsafe.

You may be new to cryptopia because it does remove some altcoins from their system. I don't remember the criteria but I think it's (mainly) when there is no volume. https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm?id=kb_category&kb_category=dd43f58bdbeddf009990f6fcbf961910

And no Cryptopia doesn't remove a coin when there is an attack, it just locks the wallets and waits.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

The criteria is clearly listed in the listing and delisting policy. Prior to the current policy that they also had a clear listing and delisting policy.

Listing policy: https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm?id=kb_article&sys_id=5d7482d2db9e9bc032a664a14a96199f

At the time of listing coins developers are provided with a list of ongoing requirements.

Quote
Be aware of our delisting policy and your ongoing obligations
Before you list, be aware of your obligations to us to help maintain your listing.

You need to give us notice of the following:

At least 2 weeks' notice of any significant code or protocol changes for your coin, especially hard forks.
Major issues with your coin, including hacks or network problems, as soon as you become aware of them.
Any issues with deposits or withdrawals of your coin from Cryptopia.
At least 1 month's notice if you want our assistance with an air drop. Be aware that support for this is solely at our discretion.
As much notice as possible if you need to conduct a coin swap. By default we don't support coin swaps, but they may be considered on a case by case basis.
Cryptopia reserves the right to remove any coin listed in its exchange markets for violations of our listing terms. This is solely at our discretion. Reasons a coin may be eligible for delisting include, but are not limited to:

Any network issues or vulnerabilities that could be exploited. Examples include:
Low hash-rate.
Out of date code base or wallet stability issues.
Frequent issues with deposits or withdrawals (outside of Cryptopia's control).
Insufficient nodes to keep the wallet synced and network propagating transactions.
Coins which violate our terms and conditions, policies, or an applicable NZ law or regulation
Coin swaps (where we are unable to support these)
Coins without a working, reliable block explorer
Coins that fail to provide notification of mandatory updates
Abuse directed by a coin team's core community at Cryptopia or its staff.
At our discretion, Cryptopia may issue a warning for breaches of our listing terms and conditions and provide the coin team an opportunity to rectify any issue(s).

Coins issued with a delist notice will have their markets closed and there will be a 30-day notice and withdrawal period before the listing is removed. This information will be published on our coin info, delisting, and market pages and we will endeavour to email all affected users holding positive balances of the coin.

Delisting policy https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm?id=kb_article&sys_id=b8aa010ddb452b80d7e096888a961934

Quote
The following criteria are required to be met by coin projects at the time of the listing:

Active and visible development team with at least two contacts given to Cryptopia (Lead Developer and CEO or Marketing Representative).
Public and safe source code as defined by our code review.
A functioning block explorer.
Detailed whitepaper outlining the use case of the project.
Road map with milestones, preferably with some achieved.
A working and detailed website.
Is NOT a "financial product", under New Zealand law.
Positive community engagement within launch forum or similar social media spaces.

Reason to delist:

Below is a list of factors that are being constantly reviewed by our Cryptopia Service Delivery Team that may result in a token/ coin being delisted:

The token/ coin no longer meets our listing criteria.
A loss of, or poor communication between coin teams and our Cryptopia Listing Team.
Project is abandoned, *e.g.: No visible coin team, no working block explorer, no active updates on code repo, or no working website.
The token's/ coin's blockchain becomes compromised or there exists a possibility to be compromised based on hash rate, namely a 51% attack.
Evolving regulatory compliance requirements. Such as changes that risk the token/ coin being deemed a financial product, or any other compliance issues.
No active development of project either in code or in meeting road map milestones.
Consistently low trade volumes.
Frequent issues with deposits or withdrawals (outside of Cryptopia's control)
Insufficient nodes to keep the wallet synced and the network propagating transactions.
In addition to the above, we have discretion to take into account any other criteria we consider relevant when making a delisting decision, and we have the right to delist a token/ coin for any reason, at our complete discretion.

What's going on with this exchange?

I've an EOS witdrawal stuck on processing since 10 days ago (ticked opened and replied, then nothing else)
and I am waiting the reopening of a market paused (MGO) since 29th of december. They paused  the market for a stuck order, don't think it's a problem so difficult to solve!

Well many coins are in that state/or their wallet broken or half-broken. Good luck with your wish.  Lips sealed

I've traded withdrawn and deposited that coin for months and worked perfectly. I was even surprised of how perfect and fast withdrawals were.

I don't understand why the've messed up everything now.

I have a LTC withdrawal stuck on "processing" just before they went into maintenance. Maybe their withdrawal/deposits went to hell?

They state they "will be back soon". How long is soon? Already lasted half a day.

I've read next update will be at 7PM UTC.

I've an EOS w/d stuck in processing since 10 days ago. They closed ticket this night but I cannot check if it's resolved.

Still in maintenance. I wish they could give an estimated time for how long this will take and also state WHY they need to be this long in maintenance.

Will they ever be back? Are our funds safe at this exchange?

I smell a giant hack or exit scam...

That would be a worst case scenario, hope it's not the case though. It won't brake me, but every loss is tough. Let's hope for the best guys  Smiley

Maybe the next update will read something like this;
"We are shutting down, massive hack led to huge losses of client funds and we are working HARD to fix this asap. We are sooooooo sorry for your loss!!!!!"

Well, maybe they just realized that they can't run a decent exchange with all these wallets in maintenance and are taking downtime for that.

if they release some sort of crisis management statement, users will panic and ask what emergency ( (  Huh catastrophe ) is requiring their full attention (for two days now) and prevent access to their site. if they don't issue any statement, users will stay anxious and still panic over their silence and jump to conclusions. so... we don't get any announcements - good pr is not their thing... sadly.
