Any ways to improve the heavycoin hashrate? I'm using ccminer 0.5 with 2x 780's and I'm only getting 45Mh/s

4 780's would improve your hash rate *snicker*

Sent some HVC motivation. You really got the attention of the AMD guys!

"Nvidia guys had a better hashrate with their top cards than even 290, this cannot be tolerated"

"And at least we can fuck back all those 750ti noobs Cool Just for note - hashrate incrase is +30% but power consumtion rised just by tiny 4%, so no big deal, here are results for my rig of 4* R9 280x at 1100 / 1500 (various brands, no voltage / BIOS optimalization at all): cgminer v6 - 80MHs / 880W"  So 11 watts per MH, versus 4 watts per MH on the 750ti's. We are still destroying them in terms of  efficiency, unless I'm missing something....

small update with a better tuning over the AMD and fixdif (which doesn't make any difference on the nvidia side):
R9 290x 28.5MHash/s
Gtx780ti ~30MHash (2instances : 1instance: 14.7MHash/s 2nd: 15.6MHash/s)

The totally inaccurate hasrate reported by 1GH: 60.8MHash/s

and all this leads to an impressive 0.5HVC/block

Latest April 1 HVC CGminer fork is a big improvement.  My SLI 780ti main/gaming rig WAS my third best HVC mining rig, barely behind my quad 280 rigs, and card for card much faster than my 290 rigs.  Not any more.  Now it's my worst, below my quad 270 rigs.

HVC with watercooled 780ti with Skyn3t BIOS @1200mhz=27mh each, one instance ccminer .5

CGminer Heavy 04-01 release:

HVC with reference 290 at 1150, Stilt BIOS=28mh, I8 1 thread
HVC with reference 290x at 1150, Stilt BIOS=31mh I8 1 thread
HVC with 280x at 1170, stock BIOS=22mh, 1 thread
HVC with MSI 270 (non x) at 1150, stock BIOS=14.5mh, 1 thread

My 780ti is clocked at 1270MHz and the 290x at 1070MHz.
Might explain the difference (I'll need to try that stilt bios...)

Here's my tentative roadmap for continued development. Note the lack of a time table Wink

1) fix the issue with PCIe bandwidth, so people with 1x risers are more happy. CUDA can do all the
    hash evaluation so we save a LOT of bus bandwidth.

2) Add blake256 for blakecoin and related coins.

3) look at implementing some failover options

4) see if I can get a monitoring API included

@cbuchner1: what do you think would be the expected increase in hashing power if 1.) is optimized? It would really be great if there would be a performance boost without tweaking cards (and increasing power consumption ^^)

If you have MSI 660Ti than you can add 1Mh/s and get ~11500 khash/s from 1 card. If you have open case then can add (+150 core, +114 power) in AfterBurner.
Total profit for 2x660ti will be 2Mh/s -> ~23000 khash/s.

My result for 1xMSI 660Ti and 2xMSI 750Ti:

Kimocoin is a good coin for Nvidia https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=524216.0

Use this .bat with Nvidia 750ti its 150 kh/s for card ( i have 4 card and run at 600 kh/s )

Code:
cudaminer --algo=scrypt:2048 -l T5x20 -i 0 -C 2 -H 2 -o stratum+tcp://kimo.internetarena.it:3341 -O workername:passname

The only thing I had to tweak was: util.c
And my modification allows for syslog logging and normal cudaminer logging at the same time.
(normally, -S option switch off the cudaminer app logging)

noted... Wink

Christian

Hi, Christian!

If it's not a problem to have normal message stream inside cudaminer application, when -S flag is used for streaming messages to /var/log/syslog ....

I kindly ask you to modify applog function in util.c (it's really gentle modification)

Code:
void applog(int prio, const char *fmt, ...)
{
        va_list ap;

        va_start(ap, fmt);

#ifdef HAVE_SYSLOG_H
        if (use_syslog) {
                va_list ap2, ap3;
                char *buf;
                int len;

                va_copy(ap2, ap);
                va_copy(ap3, ap);
                len = vsnprintf(NULL, 0, fmt, ap2) + 1;
                va_end(ap2);
                buf = alloca(len);
                if (vsnprintf(buf, len, fmt, ap3) >= 0)
                        syslog(prio, "%s", buf);
                va_end(ap3);
        }
#else
        if (0) {}
#endif
        if (1) {
                char *f;
                int len;
                time_t now;
                struct tm tm, *tm_p;

                time(&now);

                pthread_mutex_lock(&applog_lock);
                tm_p = localtime(&now);
                memcpy(&tm, tm_p, sizeof(tm));
                pthread_mutex_unlock(&applog_lock);

                len = 40 + strlen(fmt) + 2;
                f = (char*)alloca(len);
                sprintf(f, "[%d-%02d-%02d %02d:%02d:%02d] %s\n",
                        tm.tm_year + 1900,
                        tm.tm_mon + 1,
                        tm.tm_mday,
                        tm.tm_hour,
                        tm.tm_min,
                        tm.tm_sec,
                        fmt);
                pthread_mutex_lock(&applog_lock);
                vfprintf(stderr, f, ap);        /* atomic write to stderr */
                fflush(stderr);
                pthread_mutex_unlock(&applog_lock);
        }
        va_end(ap);
}

or you can add for example: -S2 flag (--syslog2, like two message streams)

it seems, you could answer then, that failover feature and statistics ("API") are supported for cudaminer externally, by linux distro KopiemTu

would the 4x slots  be enough to keep stable rates on 750ti's?
I did try a 1x-16x riser inside a 4x slot. That yielded 5-6% decreased performance in hashrates, but as far as stability, it is rock solid on +135 core +600 mem overclocking.

Just curious if this same issue can affect the card in the 16x slot? I have two 750ti's. My mobo is PCI gen2 so I have the a Gigabyte 750ti in the 16x slot and a Gainward 750ti in the 1x slot via a PCI riser. I can get 300khs easy on the card in the riser but the card in the 16x slot won't ramp beyond 215kh/s no matter what I try. If I disconnect the riser, the internal card scales to 300khs easy.

So I know most people experience a hashrate hit to cards running via external risers but I'm experiencing the opposite where the riser card will ramp up nicely but the card in the 16x slot won't go beyond 215khs when the riser card is connected.
