Does the Myriad-Groestl ccminer work with regular Groestl?

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

Does the Myriad-Groestl ccminer work with regular Groestl?

Not with regular Groestl algo, ccminer works with "--algo=myr-gr". Tested here with 0.5 and 0.6 ccminer on 780ti.

i am messing with it now and it will most likely be a better solution for you to use then nvml as its 32 and 64 bit

"Initially exposed only to OEMs and game developer tools, NVAPI is now available for download to all developers interested in building Windows applications on NVIDIA GPUs."

it's Windows only. Meh.

Christian

a common and tricky issue.. add Windows code wrapped in defines or not.. then Linux guys miss out on functionality

and guys PLEASE just start a new topic for your miner fork / mod.. flooding this one makes it a bitch for guys ONLY interested in cudaminer.
be respectful to this guys topic.. its one thing to mention it but to go on and on and on about it is another.

Spoetnik I am not sure if you realize it, maybe you do, but Christian (cbuchner1) writes and maintains both programs, so it is very common for everyone to just use whichever has the latest coin or improvements integrated.

I honestly don't know the reasons there are two programs, but they might as well be called cudaminer 1 & 2 for all I care.

I get the technical reason for what you are asking, but all these multi-hundred page threads are way past the point of manageability or useful history because 'we already talked about that' could take somebody 3 weeks just to catch up anyhow.

If I was new and had to read 800 pages just to find out there is another program or mod that was working on the coin I wanted it would drive me nuts.

Just my input.

Now back to the crazy show.  Smiley

Just downloaded ccminer 6.1
groestl: 3.3MH/s - thats same speed as before
myr-gr: 6.2 MH/s

Is this normal ? I saw people post about 10MH/s :/

PS: Or these 10MH/s were for jackpotcoin ?

I seem to only get 2.8MH for GRS on Linux with my 750Tis. That seems low compared to others. I've corrected the spelling mistake in the maxwell or fermi flag before compiling; however, do I need to make any other changes to ensure it is correctly compiled for the Ti?

Cant check screenshot at work but are you using version from 28-2? You need to use that version for nonstandard scrypt. The new compiles from source won't work with them until Christian is able to fix.

it is strange. using cudaminer version 2014-02-28. have same issue with one of my msi 750ti. crash with the same error. second msi 750ti got T3x5 (with autotune) and 10KHash/s 30-40% gpu usage...
trying stock clocks, set gen3, gen2, with or without powerd risers...
but if i set manualy -l t16x4 -m 1 -i 0 i got on both msi 750ti 20KHash/s and 70% gpu usage and no crashes...
have no ideas whats wrong...

About ccminer.
I just jumped into Groestl with 750tis.

- ccminer unoff package version 0.6 gives me about 2.5/2.6 MHS
- ccminer 0.5 using ccminer35 gives about 3.2/3.3 MHS

Thanks to all for your work.
I'll try to have a functionnal compile station to try help a bit too.

anybody has the 750ti GAINWARD-GTX750Ti-2048 (3088) ?
http://www.rueducommerce.fr/Composants/showdetl.cfm?product_id=4914590#moid:MO-C810EM29292118

I am thinking of buying one.
I would like to know how the cooling system is working ?
Does the air gets expelled on the rear of the card (like the big gtx) or does is it just blown into the case ?

unrelated question. I tried today Myr-groestl and groest and get respectively 19.5MHash/s and 10MHash/s with the 780ti (is this correct numbers ?).
Regarding the groestl, the previous version was getting me 7.5MHash/s (at 80% tdp) the 10MHash is at 100%tdp

Heh, I just misread the question.

Similar to my hashrates for both algos.

edit, some extra-infos :
Usual scrypt mining is 420 watts at the wall.
Groestl mining is 230 watts at the wall.

When I use the exact same setup of cudaminer on my other machine running a gtx670 it works fine, and I'm using the same nvidia driver on both machines... So it seems like it's a Maxwell issue.

Could you clarify, did you get all your 750 TI's working for Ultracoin, and if so what did you do to get it working?

I've been trying everything to get mining this coin!

Hi all, I am back and I have pulled together a rig at last. My config is

CPU - i5 4670
MB - Asus Z87-PRO
RAM - 8 GB
GPU - 3 x Msi 750ti OC
PSU - Seasonic 1000W Platinum
Storage - 250GB SSD & 1TB HDD

Thanks to all those who helped me put this together. I am thinking of mining MYR or GRS using this rig. I would be mining this week for all those who helped me get this rig done. I remember following persons

1. bigjme - will mine 2 days for you as you are providing everyone with ccminer 0.6.1
2. liomojo1 - 1 day for you
3. ivanlabrie - 1 day for you
4. christian - 2 days for you

If I forgot someone please remind me and I will do 1 day for you too every sunday. Please provide me with a GRS or MYR addy so I can send you the coins. You can also suggest a coin I can mine and give me the config for 750ti. Thanks to all of you who helped.
