Holding or selling? Seems jpc is quite close to be added to mintpal.

Yep, i don't want more hashrate to compete with lmao

I have question to devs of this application: where do You find documentation how new algorithm works? I'm learning how to implement new algos, but I can't find any algo datasheets, documentation papers etc. Googling for X11 for example, doesn't give any good resources as X11 is also linux GUI and most results are related to that. Same applies for other algorithms, like quark, etc. Maybe I used wrong keywords, IDK.

Do you really study wallet miner source to find out how new algo works and then implement it in cuda?

basically that is how it works yes.
The cpu miner is usually released with the wallet.

you then read and study the miner algorithm, track down how it works, then port it over to cuda and then optimize.

optimizing being the part that takes the longest. especially with say x11 with so many algorithms

right.

So hows the world treating you christian? I for one am glad the X13 algo isnt out yet, forget the 12 million extra pages that will be added when it does xD

I have the same problem, trying to program it in vhdl. That's just make me appreciate you more...

@leofur - how is Your VHDL working? any success? what fpga do You use?
I'm going to start fpga programming at the end of Year, first need to earn money to buy some EVB Cheesy

ive looked at these before and wondered how easily you could program it up.
How far is the program away from the code cuda uses? pretty close? close to opencl?

i have never really looked

fpga programming is NOT easy. Technically You can make asic from fpga, i.e, it gives You possibility to build Your own, custom CPU. Altera has some fpga boards that is meant for creating and testing Your own cpu / asic before putting it to production, but those bords cost 10K+ usd.

Basically all that fpga programming does - it makes CPU out of fpga elements (gates). But to get to advanced programming, You first need to implement all low level stuff, as (AFAIK), fpga only knows how to do AND "instruction" (because it has AND gates), the rest must be implemented yourself. I might be wrong thought, as I'm complete noob in fpgas.

That's why I'm learning CUDA - to learn parallel programming and later use my knowledge on bunch of fpgas to make my own hardware miners Smiley I have little resources, but bright mind, knowledge in electronics and friends with bright minds and who knows - if I'm lucky, maybe Europe will have it's own asic / fpga manufacturer next year Smiley

this is why I think the rumours about X11 asics must be false.

Not sure I agree, the reported hashrates of the alleged FPGA aren't inconclusive, but if you have enough manpower, it shouldn't be too hard. From a quick search I did, I've found vhdl code for 5 of the 11 algos. It will take much more time for a part time, hobby. But a dedicated team of 2-3 experts can deliver a working prototype within 1-2 month I think.

What params do people use to get 3Mh/s on X11 algo with a 750ti ?
I have this but can be wrong:
Code:
./ccminer -t 1 -a x11 -s 1 -o http://myurl:aport -u user  -p x

I have compiled ccminer from the official git and i'm using ubuntu.
Sorry if the question was already asked but it's very hard to find something in this very very long thread.

as a heads up to everyone. cudamining.cc may be given a complete coding over hall soon. This means there may be small amounts of downtime, or i may have to limit access to certain pages which will be under construction

i am going to attempt to do all of it on a separate server to make sure that it doesn't effect too much, but if the entire site throws errors, you have been warned xD

3mH/s with a single 750ti, there is a new release i'm not aware of?
