anyhow, I turned off for now cpu mining. cryptonote are kind of bad for everything  Grin
* gpu's
* network: that crap is sucking out all the bandwidth, I can't download anything while it is running and had problem with even browsing
They really need to correct a few things if they really want to go mainstream

I think that goes for any CPU coin.  Tongue  Some of them make it impossible to even run any application in the background,even if I leave one thread free,and it's not like they're that profitable either with one or two CPU's,unless you own a botnet,ofc.

on launch, it is possible to get some (assuming they get somewhere).

@C&C

I know you guys are busy but here is a "cpu only" coin who's price is really high. The coin is interesting concept but really hard to mine without a botnet or farm. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=613213.0

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

I have been thinking to that coin, but it will crash when people start to realise how it is mined.
(I can't believe that people are even buying in it... )

Not necessarily. Found 6 blocks with 5 cores on FX8350@4.3GHz and 2 blocks with Celeron G1610 Wink

Over how long a period of time and also, was it recently or at launch with low difficulty?

The price is really good though if you have coins to sell.

right now it is just some sort of private coin. such coin shouldn't be released without pool support.

For the FX, found all those in 5 1/2 hrs timeframe : on 29th of May, 9h GMT+1 till 14:30 GMT+1.
As for the celly, found those in 2 days time, one on 29th and second on 30th of May.

Funny how I didn't find any more blocks with FX, I had a lucky streak I guess.

I've also noticed that using more than 4 cores on FX, maybe 5 at max, lowers my CC miner hashrate significantly, which is not the case when mining Monero.

Would anyone have optimized settings for scrypt:jane at nfactor 13 for the 750ti? I had a very decent 25Kh/s at nfactor 12, but CACH just bumped to 13 now, and I'm only managing ~8Kh/s per card with the best settings I've found so far. Autotune crashes for me every time and I don't think I'm doing enough  Grin

Thanks guys!

hey,

am thinking of replacing my 280x cards with 750ti GPU's. There would be six GTX 750 ti GPU's on my Asrock H81 board with 8GB RAM.

Question: Can i keep my Haswell Celeron G1820 CPU to run it, or do i need to upgrade to something beefier with more cores?
