Is there a way to run a rig of mixed (750ti and 970 for example) GPUS with ccminer?
Sure, that´s what I´m going to do... 2x970 + 2x750Ti - one rig 2x750Ti - crap rig, just to keep the cards, couldn´t sell my babies

Here are my average hashrates for the following 970 Card. Just came in today.
x11 5700 x13 4700 x15 4200 qubit 8400 Nist5 22300
Driver 344.11 EVGA 970 SC ACX v1.0
nist5 is the only right one, for the other the gpu isn't running at full hash If it's true the hashrates of 980 @ cryptomining-blog must be inaccurate too. Well 970 worths 3 times 750ti, the hashrates and TDP are roughly 3 times too. The only advantage it offers is the density. But with current mining state and BTC price, ROI is far away. I wonder I should continue buying 970 at all.

2 weeks delivering mate. Still waiting LOL. Gamers buy this baby like crazy (probably miners too). Wow, I always thought Australia was behind the rest of the world, I have them in stock at my local computer store. I'm really impressed with the 750ti GA Blacks but I want to try EVGA as well, so I'll grab the 970 Superclocked and see how it goes. You might be the only whale in Aussie, while we have djm34 and crz here in Europe compete with me to buy these new babies, do you forget ? LOL It's crz and the rest of Europe, lol...

Yea it doesn't seem worth it to replace your rigs with 970's just yet. There may be more optimizing to be done on nvminer and ccminer but that's purely speculative right now. This is the Superclocked version so it comes with a slight overclock. That doesn't bode well for the reference cards. This was for gaming purposes so I am not terribly disappointed in the final result. I may pick up one more for SLI gaming, but that pretty much maxes me out on rigs and usable PCI-E slots.
If there is any algo's you would like tested just let me know.

i have seen reviewers that have pushed them to 1.45GHz core, 8GHz memory might be worth having a look around, they seem to like overclcoks. the 980 overclocks to over 1.55GHz btw

thanks. But, I'm on linux and could not make you any win-binarys for tsiv's newest CN miner or wolf's BBR miner. And I think its no accident, that tsiv has made some update yesterday. So the newest version would be needed for a try. Also it would be wise to find the right -launch-config for the new cards to see how far they could go. the more I write, the more I want to have a new toy by myself. shit. thanks for your offer to test it

I wonder I should continue buying 970 at all. Something is wrong with your math These hashrates are ~ 2x750Ti. Maybe 2.1x And it seems that there are optimized miners for AMD hardware, which are not available to mass miners. I'd seen numbers of 6-7MH/s per 290 on x11, and 8700KH/s on qubit is available, altho the miner is a bit weird - works only with p2p pools. So the only advantage NV has atm is better power consumption, tho comparing 970 vs 290 this advantage is not so big.

I do have a 970 on the way but I'm not expecting much from it for CN. We'll see. it'll probably still be severely gimped by the random memory access patterns.

Maybe 2.1x And it seems that there are optimized miners for AMD hardware, which are not available to mass miners. it could be also the case for nvidia (as long as there is no mass distribution, it doesn't really matter) regarding perf of the 970, based on core number it should around 2.5 750ti, based on mem bandwith, it should be 2. so the result should be in between, so this seems to be rather consistent (not reassuring but consistent... need to see a few test with the 980). And this discussion regarding fullhash or tdp usage make no sense. Low tdp means (assuming reported number are ok) heavy memory access (lots of load/store) and no matter how much power has the card, if this cannot be overcome, it will get stuck there... that's why it will be interesting to see what the 980 does here... at some point might be more interesting to buy 2 780ti... (I don't think mining soft will use the compression stuff from nvidia... there isn't much to compress...)

well if 980 and 970 can't reach full tdp, they will just consume less, you can't troll math anyway
so 2.5 for 980 with 2.5 tdp and 2 for 970 with 2.0 tdp, all this vs 750ti
still some algo are using full tdp

The performance of 9xx series are not that amazing compared to 750 Ti for mining. So I think the newer cards are perfect candidates for undervolting, then it might be worth it. But it all depends on how much can you lower the power consumption in order to hash 24/7.

they are good for density this alone make them better than 750ti farm
