The performance of 9xx series are not that amazing compared to 750 Ti for mining. So I think the newer cards are perfect candidates for undervolting, then it might be worth it. But it all depends on how much can you lower the power consumption in order to hash 24/7.
they are good for density this alone make them better than 750ti farm I think it was said that the ASUS Strix was the lowest power hungry 970 on the list. The fan doesn't even come on at idle. Its HUGE however and wont fit in many cases. Only uses 1 8pin power cable. Check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eqz4tDM6Wl8http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2014/09/19/nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-review/2

RedenegadeMan - Thanks for your PM, I'll respond tonight. Let's have a chat and see what we can do about getting these guys on Darkcoin: http://www.coindesk.com/coinjar-charge-fees-new-bitcoin-debit-card/I'm sure they are familiar with alts, let's put together a 1 pager to present Darkcoin in a light whereby they would be crazy not to add it to this debit card. I'm thinking right after we go live with Instant(tx). Then if they have any questions or need any support, they have two local Aussies they can call upon to manage any queries. What say you? DRK? While I'm not crazy about it, gotta love X11 Awwe crap how did that happen, I was viewing the DRK ANN, browser session SLI lol...

Is there a way to run a rig of mixed (750ti and 970 for example) GPUS with ccminer?
You're having problems with it? I can run my 750's and my 760 (kepler) in one ccminer without specials mods or something Though I tend to just run my 760 in a seperate process (using -d param), so I can easily switch to gaming-mode without having to restart just the 750s ^^" I dont have it yet, planning to buy one though(the one that replaces 750ti as nvidia card for miners). I just dont know how to run different configs with ccminer. Like with cgminer you could assign settings to each card individually. Edit: I see what you mean with -d param. Wonder if running multiple instances reduces efficiency.

Now it wont make much difference if you run them all together or all separate. ccminer use to use around 3% cpu and 150Mb ram on my quad core 8 thread. Thats all you need to know if your splitting them up. More instances and you get slightly higher system overheads. nothing big though

For example -l 8x8,16x3 , using the order of cards ccminer uses.

nope... but if you want to mine a coin all for yourself (not caring about profitability... can't have everything ) whirlcoin or talkcoin are good

nope... but if you want to mine a coin all for yourself (not caring about profitability... can't have everything ) whirlcoin or talkcoin are good I don't think whirlcoin is going to pick up, too many coins have been mined for too long without any action, but let's hope I'm wrong. Talkcoin is pretty much the same. I was fooling around with monero, but the fudge factor of the miner (and pools) is too high, the hashrate fluctuates very badly. Maybe I just dropped the ball and missed something but it seems like these are very sad days for nvidia miners.

Keep that one a secret for a few more days while I rack some up.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks

X algos aren't too bad if you mess with them a little.
djm34: Are you gonna work on the X algos?
probably, but there is a couple of other things I plan to look at...

I'm not impressed with the 970s. I'm going to wait for the 970ti before I order anymore...
