Every time I go to the bank I like to ask them if they have heard of BTC, most of the time the answer is no.   
I do ask a lot of people about BTC.. a restaurant near me.. near ish use to accept it as well, I asked to pay with it, they said it no longer exists.. .... ...

Most people I find still have zero idea what BTC is unless they are friends with the likes of us.. I don't think we are even in early adoption stage.. we are in "the chasm" .. it would appear we are going to survive though... appear anyways..

in my country some people knows bitcoin, most people don't, i spoke to a lot of people who work in a bank, consulting company and even computer engineers and mentioned about bitcoin, but they have no idea what i was talking about, but i was surprise that some of the people i know who are unemployed knows about bitcoin, and yes their friends and families introduced them to bitcoin.

Where I live, bitcoin is the currency that everyone has heard of but no one cares. It seems like even with recent events they still think that the price is only 2K. One of my friends saw how bitcoin dropped like 800USD in a day and then he sent me an article, I bet he still thinks that bitcoin is dropping, while it actually is almost double the price of it was before.

We need more media attention about bitcoin to get more users and to grow the currency.

I find that the best thing to do is tell everyone you meet about it, as long as you have some time to explain it to them.

Explaining it to older people is a lot harder as they usually don't understand it.

The best people to explain it to are Video Gamers by far. They are already familiar with having a different in-game currency and also know how much it is worth in USD in the real world.

I think it is a dot in a bond paper. The population of bitcoin is too small compare the population around the world. There's a people hear about the bitcoin but not interested cause they think that this is not true that you can a money online. Maybe bitcoin knows by everyone when the time it become legal in some countries (maybe 75% of countries around the world).

But this time bitcoin can compete to other currency and soon it will encourage other to take the opportunity. People take the opportunity if they have a proof that this is legit.

Even bitcoin is popular still theres only a small portion in our population especially here in my country that's have a huge population. If they just realize how much is one bitcoin now they will definitely grab it. Like when I talk to my friends and ask about bitcoin they just like stare at me with blank face. Absolutely true, tought right now, there's just a 1%-5% of world population who know and have bitcoin. and with that mount, the price now is around $3.5k.  Well dont you think its not too late to buy now, and keep it as a longterm investmen. There's still a few people who know what is the gold (bitcoin) is. but we already have it , and getting more of it.

People are afraid to try something new that's why when they know about bitcoin, they would either just think about it as scam or something that would be gone after a while. There are others who are interested to it because of its high value but because they are not tech savvy, they would just go back to earning from traditional business or from stocks and mutual funds that's been long existing and they are familiar with it. They don't trust something that is very high of value and something new because maybe they have experience before of scams wherein they would invest money promising them high returns but would suddenly be gone.

It's not much surprise to see that when we hit the milestones and rallies, it drags media attention which makes more people start using Bitcoin. I am getting personal messages and questions on Quora from the strangers to learn more about Bitcoin. The fact is that most of the people don't have the idea about how it works and the utility part of it but they are willing to enter in Bitcoin for speculation purpose (no offence). I am expecting a sustainable growth in the user base of Bitcoin in next year which would lead us to $5K mark and offline market transaction infrastructure in major cities of the world.

If calculate again carefully about the number user Bitcoin, maybe just have 0.1% or even 0.01% total population on the world's know Bitcoin and have it. Because the total population on the world's in current is ~7 billion people.

Well I think it is all because of the complexity of bitcoin to ordinary people which are not exposed or well rounded on the advancement of technology.  Even I do not believed bitcoin at first because it seems to good to be true for me that there is such a digital currency which really gives an opportunity to earn and just like the money.  I told stories about bitcoins on my family but they were not interested to it as they do not understand it.  They see it more as a scam and not an income.  Anyways, sooner or later when people get to know more about bitcoin and bitcoins continue to stand on its pace, it could attract more user.  Hopefully.

Yes thats true not all knows about bitcoin mostly some restaurants, company and etc. I think bitcoin knew of some people that always use social media and some searching job online. When they discover the bitcoin they grab the opportunity.

Some people are not really interested when it comes to bitcoin I guess we have different hobbies, likes and all that. Maybe they don't have much time to learn about bitcoin because they are busy with their lives but someday they will realize the value of bitcoin and they will be the one to search about it.

Its the same in place I live, its same with store owners, restaurants, cafe bars, and still many people are not familiar with bitcoin and all things that bitcoin can offer. I don't blame them, they will regret one day because they didn't listen me, many people could get in two years ago when I found out about bitcoins but for them all this was one big scam.
Now there are many more things connected with bitcoins, popularity grows in past years and for few years all world will know about bitcoin. That is inevitable, we are working on that, we are spreading the idea and that already have results, bitcoin is on TV and news more then before, that will help a lot in promotion of bitcoin.
