Every time I go to the bank I like to ask them if they have heard of BTC, most of the time the answer is no.
I do ask a lot of people about BTC.. a restaurant near me.. near ish use to accept it as well, I asked to pay with it, they said it no longer exists.. .... ...

Most people I find still have zero idea what BTC is unless they are friends with the likes of us.. I don't think we are even in early adoption stage.. we are in "the chasm" .. it would appear we are going to survive though... appear anyways..

I dunno just something I have taken note of.

Pretty much everyone that has heard of it assumes it's worth like 5 cents and shits themselves when I say it's $1k (Cad) .. we are in very interesting times with BTC.

Yes it may be coincidence. Many people still do not know bitcoin and you ask them right away. They are not interested in the market.

I agree here because bitcoin is not that popular in the market especially it depends where you came from, no wonder why people those people does not know what bitcoin is.In my country I tried to asked some international stores yet they do not know. But hoping that someday it would be more accessible even in every market. The usage of bitcoin is limited as it is not being implemented everywhere and most people who are in bitcoin mostly convert their bitcoins to fiat and then spend them. But with passage of time this will change and we will have more people using and being aware of bitcoins.

My guess is that less than 5% of the poeple in the world know what a bitcoin is. From these 5% of all world people, less than other 10% have it. From these 10% of 5% of all world people, less than 1% have a good amount of bitcoin. To become widely accepted governments have to give some laws in its favor. Until then it will be just a thing that make happy some people and not happy other people (because they lose it in trades).

Yes, that is true you can find lot of people who are totally unknown about fact of bitcoin. They don't even heard of it. That's why BTC has so much room to grow more. Just when all people will know about bitcoin and put their interest in it I wonder what will be the price of btc then!

Yes, a lot of people have not heard of Bitcoin at all. But even some people heard about bitcoin, it  does not mean that they know how to use it in everyday life.

Even those who know about it don't want to associate with him his life. Let's talk honestly. Not everybody is able to speculate on currencies. Why would he buy bitcoins and then change to Fiat in order to buy something? Bitcoin price scares too many people. The problem of popularization of bitcoin is that there is no more suggestions that may suit them all.

Even here in our country, peiple who are near me, most of them don't know Bitcoin. Only the people closest to me knew it. We can't blame them. There are not much advertisements about Bitcoin. Maybe someday, Bitcoin will be well known by everyone and it will be accepted worldwide.

Yes maybe everyone heard about bitcoin. But the thing is, the only heard about it, but theres a big possibility that they just will neglect it. Not all people knows the use of bitcoin, not all people knows the benefits can get by the users and the important of it. But learning and using bitcoin is a life long learning, no one will forget even your were become old.
It is much better to say that more people know Bitcoin compare before that to say everyone know Bitcoin. Because even if we are all aware that there is a lot thing that technology could do and bring to disseminate information to people it is quite hard for some people to know Bitcoin depending on financial and social state that may hinder them on learning some information about the system of Bitcoin and specially on transaction that could be a form of crypto-currency that can be a vital part of investments.

well  not everyone knows about bitcoin, even those who have bitcoin, doesn't get the technology of block chain, which is behind bitcoin. I guess it is safe to say that almost everyone, heard of bitcoin, but doesn't know what it is. In my country, if you ask someone regarding bitcoin, they will say it is a scam, without them even knowing what bitcoin is or researching about bitcoin. There are even some so called "gurus" here in my country saying that once you give them money for bitcoin they can double it for you, and I guess that's why there are people saying that bitcoin is a scam, considering that you must first have a wallet in order to save your bitcoin and you must be the only one to have an access or a key to your bitcoin in order for you to have security with you wallet. There are even some people saying that bitcoin is only used for criminal activities, not knowing that the silk road from the deepweb had already been stopped. I think everybody will know bitcoin, if we all go back to school and Satoshi Nakamoto will be the one that is going to explain it to us, and why bitcoin was developed, in order for us to understand further what bitcoin is all about. Right now, we can search the web for knowledge of bitcoins, and how to earn from bitcoins and use it in our daily lives. I think people need to stud further what bitcoin is, and not just listen to hearsay since bitcoin, for most people will be a boring topic once they've encountered a technical term, that they don't understand, and right now, most of our discussions about bitcoin focus on the next fork, which our colleagues in the company doesn't know of, except for the fork that we use for eating.

This year marks a good status for bitcoin industry because of the price pump that happen from $2800 to $4500 bitcoin became famous compare to the previous years, many are now starting to learn and get more interested to bitcoin. People tend to divert their attention to crypto currency now and because of high returns in bitcoin investment many are now starting to invest and work to earn bitcoin.

Even people here in my country no one knows about bitcoin here. I think bitcoin is still not popular, especially on asian country. I live in indonesia and not many people know about bitcoin but in some big countries like USA, china and japan might be popular. If i tell people here about bitcoin, most of them are don't care about it.

In my country. it is not even looked at as something useful, cause they think it is too slow and cannot have give up to $50 at the end of the month, that they can't wait for too long for it. This has been the reply of people whom I have confronted about Bitcoin.

Its not true though, there are a lot of guys that haven’t heard about bitcoin, everybody is already too attached to credit cards to even learn about the new thing around. And some people really don’t like bitcoin so they discourage others

There is growing opinion that right now is that slimmest of moments between early adoption and mainstream adoption. Cambridge research from four months ago showed less than 0.1 % global adoption on assumption of unique Bitcoin wallet holders but this was shortly before the spring boom that finally nudged even the most conservative of traditional finance towards Bitcoin. It's not just Bloomberg and Forbes anymore. It's Goldman Sachs and a rush of private equity firms. It's no longer European and North American startups now - it's really starting to take off across the Pacific, in Singapore and Australia, in Central and East Asia, even in Africa.

So yes, it's still not true that everyone already knows about Bitcoin. But if only 5% of the world knew about it, we'd really have something on our hands.

Leave outside the cyber world? I think you are trying to say live outside the cyber world.
If I am not wrong, majority of world population is a part of this cyber world and anyone who has internet might have stumbled into crypto currencies because nowadays its slogans appear more than in the past. The main problem is people ignore it.

That is correct that not all of the people knows what is bitcoin, how it works or even simple idea about bitcoin for being cryptocurrency. A lot of people are still like that because they didn't have been enlighten or ever told about bitcoin and i think the only way to lessen the number of people that are not aware of bitcoin is to create a social networking pages from different sites like facebook so you can freely promotes bitcoin to its tons and tons of users everyday.

In fact, there is a lot of people are still doesnt know what bitcoin really is. And I think they are the older one in which they are not usually using technologies so that they are not always updated.
