In this digital era,most people would have heard about it.But most of them would have thought it as a new technological invention which would only exist for a short period.They would have compared it with many ponzi schemes without trying to know about it.But definitely,we are blessed enough to have known about bitcoin and to get benefit from it.But this situation would not exist long and very soon,every one would come to know about this remarkable currency bitcoin having a value of around $3886.

It's not considered mainstream yet, also they may attribute it to something else entirely or have believe it has a bad reputation or something silly. So yeah we can each go out and teach two or three people about Bitcoin and the blockchain and eventually we'll see progress with wide spread adoption.

Yes, bitcoin haven't gained the acceptance similar to mainstream usage. In my opinion this has been found as an alternative solution for the traditional currency system. The increased price easily gains attention, so in future might get an equal importance as fiat as more countries were into plans to legalize bitcoin.

There are so many unknown wonderful things in this world that only few people privy, and I think bitcoin is one of those. Some heard about it but can't fully explained what it is and how valuable it is. But I guess public will know it sooner, because all hidden mystery are meant to be discover.

Here in my country  many of our citizens here they heard bitcoin, and yet the worst is the company used bitcoin as front only, but in the end they give damage the goodness of bitcoin once they adapt it to their MLM system. Which is more on hyped and referral scheme only.

Every time I go to the bank I like to ask them if they have heard of BTC, most of the time the answer is no.   
I do ask a lot of people about BTC.. a restaurant near me.. near ish use to accept it as well, I asked to pay with it, they said it no longer exists.. .... ...

Most people I find still have zero idea what BTC is unless they are friends with the likes of us.. I don't think we are even in early adoption stage.. we are in "the chasm" .. it would appear we are going to survive though... appear anyways..

I think today it is more accepted not like before that bitcoin just earned the name in crypto world.
And let them go crazy because its worth 3x more than when you started. Prices and value soar higher than any cryptocurrencies and it will soar higher for sure.

Yes it may be coincidence. Many people still do not know bitcoin and you ask them right away. They are not interested in the market.

Well only small number of people know about Bitcoin for now but in future i think it will be know and places will accept it as a form of payment.But now as prices are rising of btc it is going to be well known.It's still in starting phase and in 4-5 years many investors will invest in btc.In my country i think very small number people would know about it.

Practically speaking there are still places in this world are not yet reached by modern technologies , Modernization is accompanied by uprising of new digital equipment and computers. In the sense of introducing bitcoin in those places are quite difficult for them to have an idea, Still on going process, as the time goes by the sprouting of new innovations.. somehow those things may be realized..

I absolutely agree! In fact, majority of my friends and family has no idea about Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. I myself do not know anything about it until I saw my friend doing some posting here in Bitcointalk. I asked him what it was all about and explained it to me. Now, whenever I do Bitcoin activities, everyone also asks me what it is all about. With my roughly 3 months of doing Bitcoin activities, only 1 friend can relate on what I am doing. He then gave me advice on how to earn more Bitcoins because he was doing it for a quite long time already.

Even me, I can tell that, that bitcoin is not that known everywhere in the world, we are not half or even a 1/4 of the volume of population of the world. Even my relatives does not know what bitcoin is what more in public market, I tried to make some survey, out of 20 people I ask in random, no one knew or know about bitcoin, sadly to hear but that is the fact, we hope that someday things will be different, bitcoin will be known unlike what we have now, especially in my place, I hope bitcoin will be adopted and grow like others.

People who pay zero attention to this new invention in technology are those who are afraid of trying out new possibilities. Such sort does not change with the changing time and they like to stick to their own traditional method. if this is happen then bitcoin will be bad in other people which don't join into that MLM system because they will thinking that bitcoin is bad and can makes people getting scam. i think this is our job to spread more about bitcoin into many people in our places so they can understand that bitcoin is a good thing that they can join with us and the best is they can make real money too from bitcoin.

most people have not heard about it. some have heard about it, but could not explain what it is. bitcoin is still in a state where it can go both ways. bitcoin dies and people were right to ignore it or it will become known and people will be hating themselves for not having invested in the early days.

Yes i already have experienced some of it in my life. There are lot of people who knows it in its name but when you asked them what bitcoin is they are speechless. Still there are lot of people who doesnt know what butcoin is maybe because they are not interested on it or it is hard for them to understand how it works and bitcoin really is.

I agree. It will take a long time before it was known by lot of people around the world. Many only heard it but doesnt have interest on it so they ignored it. Even user of it not totally know what bitcoin is. I think most of the newbie are still lack of knowledge about it because it take time to study to understand the true meaning of bitcoin and on for what bitcoin is nowadays.

I totally agree, it will take some time but it also depends on us those who already know to publish it worldwide in our respective jurisdictions so that we recruit as it were newbies on board. It's definitely going to take some time but not quite long before majority of the world's population get into the know.

It is right that mostly people are deciding according to their own circumstances. I think mostly people are unaware of bitcoin.

Rare people would you find in your society who know about bitcoin and especially those people who are linked to internet and social media. Bitcoin has not yet been recognized across the world. I think bitcoin would got incredible rise in price when all the world become aware of bitcoin completely.

No doubt, technology has not reached all the areas in the world. In many parts of the world, people do not even know about computer. How can we expect them to get the idea of crypto currencies? I also wonder, do all of them even know about fiat currency? As a matter of fact, these tribes may never change their ways. But who knows what is coming in our way. Bitcoins is attracting masses all over the globe at the moment.

The more the demand and less supply it would mean a great price increase.  Not everyone knows bitcoin because there is no mean for it to be known.  It was not advertised or even saw on television.  If restaurants and other establishment will use bitcoin as its payments then people will be curious about it.
