in our company which is consists of 10000 employees only 10 people knows about bitcoin, when you walk in the streets, you will never hear people talking about bitcoin,we also have an app wherein you can convert your cash to bitcoin, but people always neglects it, I believe that, here in this forum, we are only a small portion of the population, to us, it seems that we are growing since there are a lot of people joining in, however, it is but a small percentage. I think at this time, this is also an advantage for us all, since in the future, more and more people will ask about bitcoin and we already know what bitcoin is and what to expect, especially when it comes to income and its technology.

Most people take their circle of people they know as the measure for the whole world. Of course if someone ever reached this forum, they probably know lots of informed people that probably will know something about btc. And have heard of BTC is different from know about btc of course.
It is right that mostly people are deciding according to their own circumstances. I think mostly people are unaware of bitcoin. Rare people would you find in your society who know about bitcoin and especially those people who are linked to internet and social media. Bitcoin has not yet been recognized across the world. I think bitcoin would got incredible rise in price when all the world become aware of bitcoin completely. The market that bitcoin serves is still relatively small, but over the last two years we have seen how some countries have warmed up to it and to a point embraced bitcoin, not just as an investment, but also as a currency. Even though many people are still clueless about bitcoin, I believe there will come a time when bitcoin would become as recognizable as the dollar. I am not sure when that is going to happen, but all things point to us heading the digital way, and bitcoin seems to be the most advanced in all of the crypto currencies floating around.

Every time I go to the bank I like to ask them if they have heard of BTC, most of the time the answer is no. I do ask a lot of people about BTC.. a restaurant near me.. near ish use to accept it as well, I asked to pay with it, they said it no longer exists.. .... ...
Most people I find still have zero idea what BTC is unless they are friends with the likes of us.. I don't think we are even in early adoption stage.. we are in "the chasm" .. it would appear we are going to survive though... appear anyways..
I dunno just something I have taken note of.
Pretty much everyone that has heard of it assumes it's worth like 5 cents and shits themselves when I say it's $1k (Cad) .. we are in very interesting times with BTC.
Most people would have heard about bitcoins but most of them just think it as another scam project and they just reject it.They think that some day, very sooner it would collapse and it would be a loss for them to spend time in it.But still there are more people who have not even heard of bitcoins. So,when comparing with them,we too are early birds to have known about bitcoins.

Unfortunately most of the times bitcoin is in the news it's for some bad reasons like it was in ransomware news, hbo files being hacked and the hackers asking for money in bitcoin. Bitcoin has been in the news for sure but most of the times for some bad reasons and people generally form an opinion because of such news that it's something illegal or a ponzi. The number of people who have a good opinion about bitcoin and that of the ones who have a bad opinion is too big. For instance, while there are people who are fans of bitcoin and have made good money with it here where I live but the number of such people is very small compared to the ones who think it's a ponzi or something illegal and that's what is an obstacle in the growth of bitcoin and that should be changed

In my place of work only one or two people knew about bitcoin, majority does not know anything about bitcoin, personally I have been in the forefront of enlightening and educating people around me what bitcoin is all about and I am convinced with all my efforts more people will know more about bitcoin I am imploring other members of this forum to do same so as to educate more people about bitcoin.
Good efforts, and yeah, people who say that Bitcoin is well known around the world certainly do not know what they are talking about. If you go on the street and ask someone about it, the answer will probably be that the person has never heard of it. But people with an above-average level of knowledge, especially people who work in technology business, are more likely to know what you are talking about.

Almost everyone knows bitcoin, but the minority of people who use it, most of them do not understand what bitcoin. Especially for those who do not have access to the internet. As well as in my residence where the level of public awareness of bitcoin is still low. There is no shopping place or restaurant that provides payment using bitcoin. Maybe that's also the reason investors are reluctant to invest bitcoinnya into shopping centers or restaurants that payments using bitcoin. Even if there may be very helpful for bitcoin users.
One of the things that you will realize if you really think about it is that no one really fully understands something. No one knows something from the very basic to the most complex that something can be. People are using bitcoins to buy and sell something but don't really understand how it works. People are also using money but most of them never really knew how was money created, if it's even backed by a commodity at all, or how was taxed computed. No one really cares, honestly. Just think about this. Everyone has a smartphone but very little of us are knowledgeable about circuits and how those little things work. But none of that really matters, as long as you know how to make use of something, then you're already alright.

I do agree with that. I almost shit myself when I realized how big it increase nowadays not like before when I first heard of it. My friends don't have a single idea about it and when I tell them to try it and they though I am scamming them.lol

Yah I feel the same, even if large newspapers makes an article about bitccoin, I feel most people still miss it. I could ask anyone about bitcoin, and they would ask me what it is. The only people I know that knows about bitcoin, is people who I've taught them about bitcoin myself.

No one really cares, honestly It is not only that (in fact, it is not that at all) Even if you could understand something perfectly, there are too many factors at play to account for them all. Apart from that, you will have to account for the randomness of the world which you simply can't account for no matter what. You will have to consider ever diminishing details with ever increasing consequences (the so called butterfly effect) and will never be able to account for the effect of your own accounting. The bottom line is that it is very much like the law of diminishing returns, i.e. it doesn't make a lot of sense to know something any deeper than you really need for most practical intents and purposes. For example, you can still prudently use money without ever thinking about its origin or how it came about

It is safe to assume that not everyone knows about bitcoin. It’s been almost ten years but I think that its still in its baby age. I’ve been on the Internet for so long but it’s been recently that I’ve known of its existence. And this phenomena will continue on, I think. Even when it finally reach its peak popularity, there will always be people that will not know its existence. Not everybody is on the Internet, you know.

Bitcoin is not even hardly known to the mass public. Wait til everyone buys Bitcoin then the price will go through to roof.

At the moment, if you talk to some people, only 5 of 10 persons know about it, but only 1 uses it.

I think that when people say everyone has heard of Bitcoin they mean anyone important xP Such narsisistic behavior. xD Well I'm pretty sure anyone into technology and computers knows what Bitcoin is. How could you not ?
As far as computer users are concerned, yeah if not all then most of them are aware of this digital currency but to say that everyone knows about it already is not the right thing for the moment, I am afraid so. Also, on the other hand Bitcoins are becoming famous day by day and is attracting masses all over the world which will ultimately make everyone realize its existence. People are talking more and more about bitcoins nowadays.

You have to do your own reading and research about Bitcoin to understand it because it's not mainstream right now. It is also a little cumbersome to acquire especially for those that aren't technically inclined.

I think it is a dot in a bond paper. The population of bitcoin is too small compare the population around the world. There's a people hear about the bitcoin but not interested cause they think that this is not true that you can a money online. Maybe bitcoin knows by everyone when the time it become legal in some countries (maybe 75% of countries around the world).
But this time bitcoin can compete to other currency and soon it will encourage other to take the opportunity. People take the opportunity if they have a proof that this is legit.

The population of bitcoin is not that high because some can't truly understand about bitcoin. And some are not techy person to use online somehow there is need to spread awareness about bitcoin so others can jive and can earn money. Even in other country its not yet legalized but I think in the future it will. And I believe bitcoin will encourage more users in the future
