here is also crbit...new dev-team just arrived...
i quote:
Here is a more detailed plan of what Credit 2.0 should be like.
First things first. It will be implemented as an Ethereum token (smart contract) on Ethereum platform. The decision came to be because Creditbit wants to be more than just another cryptocurrency. It is planned to have some custom, decentralized functionalities, which befits the new era of blockchain technology.
We believe that the hearth of crypto is it’s community, so we will plan and develop the whole project with you guys in mind. In first phases of the project, we want to hear your voice and ideas about what we should implement and how to make this project great again. Even in the development phase, we will constantly ask you guys what do you think and which features make sense and which do not. When the project will be launched, interested participants will be shown how they can be a part of the development process and participate in future development.
At the moment our solution for Credit 2.0 will be comprised of 4 core entities.
Creditbit - An ERC20 compliant token with a lot of attracting features added on top of it CreditDao - A DAO on top of Ethereum, which will act as a decentralised, community driven representative of users and network as a whole. CreditBay - A decentralised commodity market on top of Ethereum, implemented with smart contracts. CreditMC - A migration contract that will help us to migrate from old network to the new one with accepting the old coins and issuing new tokens.
Because we know that no crypto eco system is complete without infrastructure projects we will also start the development of many infrastructure projects that will help with usability and recognition of Creditbit.
We now ask you, the crypto community, to kindly comment our ideas and propose new ones. We are here to listen and accept them.
In the meantime, we will write down detailed explanation of each of the core entities which we will be posted in the beginning of the next week on this thread. Then you will be able to give us feedback so that we can compile the best version of Credit 2.0 together.
When the final plan will be made and accepted a new thread will be opened, with in-detail explanation of the new project and of course, a white paper and exact roadmap will be released.
Future plan: 11.01.2017 - By the end of the day, we will post an idea of what the new CreditBit should/will be like. DONE 11.01.2017 - By the end of the week, we will establish channels, where the crypto community will be able to participate in the making process of our new ecosystem.
11.01.2017 - In the meantime, we will write down detailed explanation of each of the core entities which we will be posted in the beginning of the next week on this thread. Then you will be able to give us feedback so that we can compile the best version of Credit 2.0 together.

Many of the picks made are excellent and will increase in value this year. Two of the picks I have seen are severely undervalued in my opinion based on the work that is already done. Most of the picks made, while solid, are either already discovered and have limited upside, or they don't have enough coding done to know if they will ever be completed. 1. BitBay (BAY) No-brainer. BitBay already has years worth of development and a working GUI Smart Contract client. I bought BAY this week using their client with funds from PayPal, skipping the exchanges and my bank altogether... and there were no fees. BAY is the currency used as collateral within the client. If just a fraction of people realize they are able to anonymously bypass exchanges, as well as create unbreakable contracts for virtually anything, the demand for BAY will explode. New updates are happening regularly, including a Proof of Stake 3.0 upgrade next week. With a stable product now available, the BitBay team has started planning their PR strategy. Get in now. ( http://bitbay.market) 2. Nexus (NXS) Nexus already has the an unbreakable, quantum computer proof, currency at more than 5x security than what Bitcoin offers, and nobody else is even trying to compete. It is it built with the highest possible SHA3 standard hash. Don't miss this: in the next few months a contract already in the works will be signed with Vector Space, which was founded by Jim Cantrell, the father of Nexus' lead developer Colin Cantrell. Nexus is going into space using satellites. It is hard to get more decentralized than that. ( http://nexusearth.com)

Not much time to buy nxs dirt cheap

i do have some altcoins and some bitcoin as well. I keep bitcoin for a longterm investment but i see some good altcoins where I could make some profit. I was looking at crreditbit a year ago and now it looks like they are still here with new team, so i put some money in it and im waiting for detailed roadmap for 2017, i think they could provide some good features. I was also thinking to invest in litecoin but I think this coin is almost dead, nothing is happening by now.

Well to answer this, I've gotta question first: As I am a novice to this world: What are some of the criteria that are to be looked at to judge or analyze the future of a crypto currency or altcoin? Are there any?
I think everyone has been quite clear in explaining their reasons or criteris for assuming that an altcoin can succeed or not. Perhaps you need to read with a little attention the explanation that each one makes regarding their opinion.

There's a good saying that goes; "You can't get the wisdom of the crowd, if the crowd are not wise" Too many people not putting in any research or asking enough questions.

My opinion is Litecoin. Why? Litecoin has development, solid stable and secure chain, etc. No, I am not a litecoin bagholder nor am i attempting to pump the coin here. I was accused of that last year when i held no litecoins. I do feel sorry for the people who invested at it's peak, no one expected that nor had they planned on that...
Diff is ever rising, though!
My crypto portfolio includes:
BTC, ETH, ETC, LTC, DASH, Monero, UNO, etc.
However a few investment rules.
1. Do not take investment advice on Bitcointalk. Even my advice is just my opinion based on my research. 2. Use your own due diligance ffs and if it seems too good to be true, it probably is! 3. Do not follow the herd off the cliff. 4. Have fun

You should invest in Monero because all the ethereum investors I know are moving to Monero and that gets me curious and think something good could come Monero's way in 2017

I have been working on lot of coins till now according to my research i have come up with some good coin which has some bright future are XMR, LBC,Qtum. I made little profits with XMR,LBC and my main focus is on Qtum which is based on smart contracts. I hope it has some unique identification in market when it is listed in exchanges.

This is quite true. It may be at the end best coin in this year i mean, but others are close to. My opinion is Litecoin. Why? Litecoin has last chance to grow with segwit implementation i dont have anything against it but this is my opinion, like you mentioned in rest of quite in statement 1 dont trust anyone here do you own research.

I would also suggest Monero. It has some real innovation and the dev team is quite capable I think. Moreover its already famous and quite attractive to use for illegal business, so I think this gives the coin some potential to grow in value.

( http://nexusearth.com) I agree regarding Bitbay. with pegging and all the other stuff this should be at least top 20 if not top 10. But I wonder how you were able to buy bay anonymously using Paypal I suggest to take a look at Spectre. https://spectreproject.io/it has a marketcap of about 400BTC atm (available supply~total supply. CMC is incorrect at this point). It's only on Novaexhange til now, but they've just started so more exchanges will come in the following weeks. Spectrecoin is a fork of shadowcash, but they want to fully implement Tor and skip the marketplace. instead they are working on an unique anonymous Remittance-Android-App called Spectre.Cash. defenitely worth a look Edit: NEM seriously will do well this year and buy some XEM every day

I think the earlier people start taking a look at Qtum and appreciating it the better because it's very promising even though it's a fairly new coin. The dev is innovative and have managed to combine both ethereum and Bitcoin technologies to create a masterpiece of an Altcoin. Check my signature and read more if you're looking for an Altcoin for 2017 and the future.

Many old supporters now talking bad about LTC, nobody even looks at the facts that LTC is good coin with strong network and transactions are first. This Is why i chose LTC as my PICK No 1. China will pump this coin again to 10$. This is most likely to hapened, death of LTC is only wish of those greedy ETH supporters.
