Locally sourced hardware? I didn't realise there were any semiconductor companies in Sweden. Are you guys sure you understand what's involved with creating an ASIC chip?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

great if they actually make something affordable for the hobbyist...but how hard would it have been to keep shut for another 3 months and just come out with a working product and bam your sold out if you produce enough proof...

Dreams of cyprto solving everything is slowly slipping away...Replaced by scams/hacks Sad

Many US homes have 220/240. If not, pick up a converter. Less than $40.

500W max load on the amazon specs. If it's higher, then adapter can be expensive, also miner is on all the time, that's lot stress put on the adapter.

Hi everybody,

We are Swedish miners that are producing our own ASIC miners to strengthen the market and avoid monopoly.
Our company kncminer is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new web shop dedicated to the online sale of Bitcoin hardware to the international community, www.kncminer.com.

A lot of scam sites are appearing every day and we are not one of them, therefore we will not take any orders and are only registering interest.
[...]

Hej. Jag ville bara skriva att säga något på svenska. För skojs skull. Tongue Jag är inte svenska. Men jag hoppas att du är en legitim verksamhet.

If they use a PC power supply, the voltage is a universal input (either automatically switching or for the old junk ones a switch in the back) - accepts anything from 100V-240V.

If they use a different (ie, non switched-mode power supply), then this may not be the case. But that is unlikely.

Anyways, the power supply is probably the smallest issue. First there needs to be an ASIC...
