People remember, they already said that they will not be releasing on time. As of right now there is no new release date.

I resemble that remark. If by some small chance they prove to be legit, I'll buy the maximum limit available, and I'll be HAPPY to admit I was wrong.

Just the fact that they are changing policy and saying they will honor refunds to everyone in the future doesn't make them legit.  But it is a step in the right direction.  I have a feeling they could be telling the truth and their demo unit is fu of bugs and they are waiting on a revised PCB.  It will be interesting who is making 10gh chips so cheap.  They probably are being secretive because they might not have exclusivity over the chip and don't want others ordering from their manufacturer so they can maximize their profits

Same boat bro. I'll be the first to shout their praises if they turn out to be legit.

I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around the fact that we are now 36 pages deep in on this thread, and it still keeps going.

I picked a bad week to start a diet. I'm dying for some hot buttered popcorn right now, goddamnit.

This is some Special Olympics level shit going on in here.

LOL this is the thread that just keeps on giving. Seriously I'm fucking laughing my arse off here hahahaha.

And I quote:

The refund offer, is the oldest trick in the book. Seriously. Offer one guy a refund. Give it to him if he asks for it. And then that guy will confirm with everyone else, "oh yeah they gave me back my money. They're legit guys". And now hundreds more start placing their orders, thinking they can also just get a refund anytime.
Scarifying a few hundreds to lure in potentially thousands more is just a smart move on their part.

Thank you Smiley

But thats not the way its happening right now, fulfilling the refund only avoided them the definitive scam stamp. As the usual they go further then other cheap scams, we are getting a new policy that will support returns (ofcourse this will need to be tested to know if its real) and they announced that tomorrow we should know the details regarding the new timeline and whatnot, hopefully some public stats soon also.

Also no one else here is buying until definitive proof arrives, so such a trick would accomplish nothing here.

I really hope no one bought into this scam. Very smart and tricky guys. the video does not shows the hardware at all, all the time showing his computer monitor.. it could be a avalon miner or fpga miner. How are you going to get back your bitcoins? Probably they are trying to find ways to mixed and laundry the coins...

Pre-order closed

 Dear customers,

we have currently transfered packages of bitcoins
to our new manufacture in china.
Refunds requested from orders since first may will
be done quickly. All other refunds can not be
taken at this time, but if we fail to deliver at the next date
every single customer will get his made payment back.
 This is a guarantee.

We will close now the pre-orders for around 48 hours
and make a new order policy. Everyone who order
will be able to get his money back within 14 days,
 until the orders gets binding.

We will re-open the preorders when we publish more
 informations.

Tomorrow we will be able to publish our next and last date
 for shipping.

 Your CedarTec Team.

If there is someone so retarded to actually have sent money to the scammers, I urge him to open a thread in scam accusations so ionstorm and anonymousg64 can be investigated by mods and this thread immediately closed.

The question mark after "scam" in the thread title is an insult.

*if* hs become the most dangerous word in this thread. Whatever purposfully half hearted 'evidence' has been supplied, has been scrutinised and identified as fabricated BS.

Yet there are one or two supposedly genuine members of this forum, that began in this thread with a low post number and apparently have vested interests in this project. They appear whenever the majority agree upon the legitimacy of the 'product' and leap upon every opportunity to hijack the thread and suggest 'what ifs' whilst offering the opportunity on the sham company to provide a glimpse of compassion and offer an assumed refund, thereby attempting to appear as if they are honourable and actively involved in developing something.
Bizarrely this normally occurs at what would be the middle of the night, very early morning in the real Lebanon, when all characters involved are awake, never at this exact moment in time, early afternoon, when the real Lebanon is wide awake, (2pm currently).

One of these forum members appear to be the only person the company regularly communicates with, with the company spontaneously deciding to post around the same time as that member receives their message.

This uncertainty fuels more speculation and thus the thread survives and offers the potential for some newbie to spend without due diligence. The cycle continues.

There is no disputing the falsehood uncovered in the evidence provided. It's incontrovitable they attempted to deceive and their shoddy photoshopping and intentionally poorly placed/focused/angled photography and cinematography only compounds the fact any genuine company would goto great lengths to prove without a shadow of a doubt their product exists and works as intended so they may sell in volume.

In addition the company just binned two working miner prototypes, that just weren't working good enough? Aside from the loss in excess funds generated there, they never documented their existence or their journey the past few years.

The are no *ifs, this is a scam, it's not even a well constructed one, but my word is it a determined one.

This thread needs to be put to rest in the scam sub-forum. The moderators have been particularly hands-off and that concerns me.

There is absolutely no excuse. It might be fun to read, but it stinks and mods should be ashamed.

This is most likely a SCAM.

People must learn to do some DUE DILIGENCE before sending money to strangers.

You are doing a lot of speculation yourself, and you'd be resting too at 2PM if you had too much knefeh. (and your posts are very long Smiley)

I am still on the fence about this....there are TONS of things that lead me to believe that these guys are scamming, yet nothing is 100% definite.

One thing I was thinking about is that they could be trolling us all with this one refund. By refunding 1 person 8 BTC, they are giving many more confidence that they are legit. The 8 BTC refund could fuel in hundreds of more BTC before they close down everything and are never seen again.

Then again they could still be legit...

are you for real??

Yes I am "for real". What part of this entire CedarTec thing is different from when Avalon started accepting pre-orderes for batch 1...or BFL back over a year ago? CedarTec will probably do the same thing if this is legit...batch 1 will be $1000, second round will be $1500-2000 each then round 3 will be $5000-7500 each

I am not saying go and buy, but I am still not convinced this is a "SCAM" yet

to each their own
