Does claymore's monitor work with ANY other miner?

Might I suggest trying Ethmonitor instead, which supports quite a few different mining programs?

No the miner should work just fine, I use it with both a GT 630, which is a GT 730 Fermi variant, and a GT 730 Kepler variant.  CUDA version  isn't the same as compute capability.

Hi there, just installed this and have been running it, I'm new to mining. I want to be sure I have entered my Zcash address correctly...

In the miner.cfg file, do I just put the address in the "server - user" lines over what was there before?

And for the email updates, and worker name, just the address(DOT)"worker1"(FORWARDSLASH)my email?

I kind of figured that when I hit the miner app to start it, it would ask for some of this information or let me use cmd, but it didn't. Are we supposed to run as admin?

Thanks for any help!

Hello everyone!

So I have been using this for a few days and it suddenly stops working It does not freeze or anything but when I look at it I notice its not typing stuff on the DOS looking terminal screen. The only way to know is to ook at the time stamp and then I realize it has been sitting idle for a long time maybe hours.

Two questions:

1. Is this is a known bug or is my system experiencing issues?

2. Is there anyway to get a notification when this happens so I can restart? Or is there an option I can put in the bat file to restart on its own when it freezes like this?

Hi,

I tried today to start over mining after 6 month.

It seems interesting to mine HUSH, so I found the Pool
http://baikalmine.com/h

After changing the bat-file to
miner --server baikalmine.com--port 3032 --user t1cnhphqWHp68VP9dZK4f6q9BCXPqeP8YWY.rig --pass x

even with
miner --server baikalmine.com--port 3032 --user t1cnhphqWHp68VP9dZK4f6q9BCXPqeP8YWY.rig --pass x --api 127.0.0.1:42000

or
miner --server baikalmine.com--port 3032 --user t1cnhphqWHp68VP9dZK4f6q9BCXPqeP8YWY.rig --pass x --api <my real external ip>:42000

I get always the same error-Message:
Cannot resolve hostname

Miner: Vers. 0.3.4b

Hey guys i set up this miner with nanopool and i have 2x1070’s and 1x1080ti with a 760 watt psu. When i launch the miner it runs for about 2 second. And then crashes and my pc reboots with a power surge error in the bios menu.

I use these same 3 cards to mine ethereum and it runs for weeks. What could be the issue? I used a power meter and with all 3 cards i get 580 watts being used. Why does it work for mining eth but crash when mining zcAsh?

Different algorithm might cause different load... different mining software might trigger different profile on graphic card (nVidia Boost)... also maybe CPU get higher load while starting mining with EWBF... I guess your PSU is just not (good) enough while you have this 1080 Ti beast in game with two other 1070s. It might be enough after things settle down, but not enough while power consumption spiking at beggining. Try to mine with DSTM miner, the programmer said, that his miner triggers GPU one by one to prevent exactly these power spikes.

first of all the big difference between ETH (ethash) & Zcash (equihash) is ETH more high speed memory usage & less power need coz it not need so much GPU & Zcash aka equihash algoritm it need more GPU aka more real power & it care less about video ram speed & all of this is translate ETH (ethash) it consume less power vs Zcash (equihash) more power aka your 760 W PSU for sure is at limit special you have 2 x 1070 + 1 x 1080 ti ...

i will give my 1060 example: ETH = 65W - 70W vs Zcash = 86W minim soo conclusion is up to you Wink

cheers

Has EWBF been on here at all? It's a great miner but it needs an auto-restart function. I think his competition is still actively working on their miner. If he doesn't do some improvements, I think he'll start losing money.

He hasn't been replying on this topic for months, but seems to connect since his last activity is today, quite odd. And i agree, dtsm is already there, and just a couple improvement like backup pool, will make EWBF obsolete for most miner, even with the mandatory 2% dev-fee.

I think dstm and ewbf are the same person. Once the community discovered how to disable fee from ewbf, magically dstm miner appears with improves speed but devfee inside

Possible, but the fee option from EWBF has been around a while and dtsm is pretty new, also the coding and engine of the miner look completely different. But it can be ! we'll never know :p

miner auto-restart activated IF 0 Sol/s >10sec  can't be more simple!

If yes, could you give me some information about setup / pools / wallets ?

Thanks Smiley

Hello.
Any chance about miner update with Titan V tensor cores support? Is it even possible?

P.s.
Btw, your miner seems to be the best, got around 790-800 sol/s with 1080ti @2050/11000 water cooled, 114% power load. Really nice. With nheqminer got a hundred less.

The Titan V tensor cores are Floating Point - dunno if they can be used at all for Integer type work like ALL CRYPTOCOIN MINING uses.
They also are optimized and designed to do "matrix math" - which has NOTHING to do with the straight adds/rotates/move the date work used in Cryptocoin mining.

nheqminer hasn't been updated for a long time - it's not a good basis for comparison any more.
The current miners to compare are EBWF, this one, and that new BMiner thing for Windows.
I forget if Zawata's new miner works on equihash at all, if so might want to include it in the list.
