Sorry, but it looks like you are too late. Only tiny market cap coins are left that are still running the original CN algo and it sure looks like ASICs have found them because the network hashrates Cool
Who talking about original CN algo? GGS supports V7 on the same speed as orig CN. Soon will be cryptonight heavy and so on.

The upcoming version does support all the CryptoNight variants natively, but what I am really curious about is the newly supported X16R/S. I glanced through it's 33 kernels and was shocked that there was so much room left for optimizations. I mean, it has been a few years since SHA-3 candidates were designed and X14 has been around for a while, no?

Optimization happen only if there is "money" doing it....

Btw, if you need to benchmark ALgos by algos you need one NVIDIA card and :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3212811.0

adding -- benchmark

Its not the fastest Cuda x16r miner but its almost  on the top 3.

All those algos have been Nvidia green pastures during those years

oh, you got competition:

when can we try the version with the x16r and s miners? And btw zawawa when I start benchmarking the cards I do not get any results! Why is that? The tests just run through without giving any data about the different algos

Like, in an hour or so. I would increase "Wait" and "Length," and check off "Use average speeds."

Hey zawawa, do you get enough earnings from devfees now? You are doing awesome work and I wouldn't mind paying extra fees if you can provide the best miner for algorithms that are not available for AMD.

Thank you! To justify all the time I spent on the miner to my wife, I should be making 50x as much as I am making right now, though. LOL
I am working on memory timings for my last card. Cannot wait to get this done...

@zazawa
Pls fix the problems on 580 4GB cards. 1.3.2 ver. tries to allacote 4.3 gb memory on 4Gb cards on Cryptonight v7. Also it's not possible to change on card details cus of there is no crytoonight v7 section on miner settings.

The next version has separate sections for CryptoNight variants. No worries.

Video memory consumption on CNV7 is the same as on original CN. You just can reduce Intensity from 128, which is for 4,3Gb on both criptonight alogos, to 112 - the best for 4Gb cards...

No option for V7 on miner, tried for Crytonight section 112 -8 but still trying to allacoate 4.3gb mem.

You are on 1.3.2 and you selected custom pool  but there is no v7 ? It's a bug I've reported a while ago and the Dev I think he fix in the 1.3.3 that is due before week end.

memory is allocated based on intensity. I had 4 gb card and I remember 112 for cryptonight. for now, you can just lower the intensity till is less than 4 gb if you would like to test.
Not sure why, I remember it worked even if was 4,3gb.

ALso this bug  has been fix  in 1.3.3.....

My RX 470 was so picky that it took me forever to configure default settings for it, but I am done for now.
I will write up instructions on how to optimize device settings, and it would be great if you could save and send optimized device settings for your GPU'es to me so that I could include them as default settings.

Now I got to prepare packages for the next version. Be right back.

Can you please add scrolling or something for low resolutions, can't move anything when the rig is restarted headless.

I will try, but I'm not sure if I can fix this easily. You might want to get one of those cheap display dummy plugs instead. They are quite useful, actually.

Maybe just a way to modify the device settings in text mode. Thats the most important part to me, when a card become unstable, and need to lower that settings, the rest is done before the rigs get headless. GGS (and previously GG) adjust clocks voltages and fans, even where overdrivent or msi Afterburner can't (without dummy is one example of this)

I see. I am thinking about switching the format of configuration files to JSON as SQLite has been a huge disappointment.
The design choice was between performance and data integrity, but I think we can live with JSON configuration files...

I'd agree - sqlite can take a long time to update/load with many cards.  json would be much faster, and data integrity isn't really a make or break so long as the user doesn't muck around in the json file.
