Actually, GGS is now compatible with the aforementioned USB watchdog.
I got pretty lucky on this one...

Great news, how to purchase one "plug ang play" from you ? Delivery to France. Tongue

How about ordering yourself ?  Wink ->

Yay ! So far - so good. Just installed it on my testrig and it acts up a bit. CN Heavy: Miner restarts as soon as a 2nd 8GB card wants to start with two threads. Nothing in the logs - just a miner restart. Will dig a bit deeper l8r on when i have a bit more time. More details when i had time to fidel a bit with the miner  Grin

Crap.  I have the same issue.  2 R9 390x.  First one starts up, but when second one starts when goes from 1.2GB memory to 2.4, application crashes Sad

Yopp, so far i tested :

480 2T and 480 2T * Crash as soon as the 2nd card goes to the 2nd thread
480 2T and 580 2T * Crash as soon as the 2nd card goes to the 2nd thread
480 2T and 480 1T * Works
480 2T and 580 1T * Works
480 2T and 480 1T and 470 1T * Works
and so on ...

No error msg, nothing in the logs - just a plain miner restart

* Fixed a critical bug around CPU thread management.

The issue should be gone now. Sorry about that...

There ya go - it works with 2T now ... just a note for the next release: Please make the upper part of the GUI (specially the part aboput temps/speed etc.) also scaleable, as it is a bit tiny if you are not on VGA  Cool

https://imgur.com/a/IqqYOtn

... as it's too tiny to show you (as example) these nice jumps on the hashrate (taken with 1.3.4) ->

https://imgur.com/a/XxtAnSO

... or show you what happends if the con goes down and comes up again /1 T gets "lost" and does not come back again /->

Dunno if this behave like a USB stick or if it requires programming skills to flash the program inside.

Basically, yes - plug it in, connect the cables /reset and so on/ and install the software/driver and ya are good to go ... no programming skills needed at all - it's kinda plug'n play.

SRB CN GPU Miner now fastest cryptonight miner. On my RX 580 cards with SRB miner speed is 30-40+ h/s on each card. It's sad (((( I used to GGS, that it's fastest CN miner... Now it's not... For 270X fastest is Claymore 11.3.

Well, that's what happens when GGS is not properly optimized.
Your RX 580's have Hynix GDDR5, no?
I just got a brand new RX 580. Let's see what we got here...

Yes, it's hynix MJR memory.
SRB miner works with worksize 8 and threads 2. Playing only with intensity gives higher results. In GGS maximum result achived with intensity is 3-5% lower.
Maybe his cryptonights kernels better? Or something else... You must know about it more ))))

Notices:
His intensity works onother way, than GGS, thats means, i think, that his CN kernel builded another way?
Best results on SRB is on intensity 64,72,80,94,108
Intensity higher 112-116 starts to give drops in speed to 0 h/s (close to 8Gb memory used???)
On GGS best results on my hynix MJR is only on 128 or 144 intensity. Any other vairants of intensity gives slower speed. Different mod bioses tried - same dependenses.

Maybe it helps you to understand where the dog is buried...

I am not worried by the speed, there is inches beteen the two. I am worryed about something else. As soon as I finish mining with all the card a coin too good to stop, I will send you the details.(That confirm what I wrote before)

Right now I have just received an rx 480 xfx 8gb samsung, first thing tomorrow will be to reach 30 Mhs in etash, just for the fun of it, as I am mining only Neoscrypt  during the day and CN during the night at the moment ( Thanks to my solar panels)

I got a couple of "thread stuck in the driver " windows error when running phymem btw. And  some spontaneous reboot when mining Neoscrypt, I was thinking about the PSU, but then I tryied Claymore ( that is faster but use so much energy to be worthless) and the PSU was ok with that. SO, its something else.

I forgot: Nvdia is just mining Neoscrypt & Lira2z Wink

And onother one thing about hynix mjr memory. On good quality cards like Sapphire Nitro+ this hynix mjr memory is more stable than on not so good cards like MSI Ganing X (without plus).
For example, well known from net "GOOD strap" for hynix mjr memory on Sapphire Nitro+ stable works up to 2150MHz memory clock. On MSI it's only 2120MHz stable, and even maybe less.

Well, you can reach much better speeds with overclocking and memory timing mods.
I even got 1000 h/s with RX 480 with Samsung GDDR5.
